@coop36: I can agree with that. I assumed all along this was to be kept in multiplayer. Since single player is based around an american squad, and if they add women to the american side of the storyline then we'll have a small problem. Which is quickly voided by the fact that it's a video game and in no way a historical depiction of the actual events of World War II. Even such an amazing piece of art like Saving Private Ryan had quite a few inaccuracies. One of which was the entire story idea of the US government sending a whole 8 man squad to save one man. Sure the concept of "the last survivor" is accurate but this was war, they weren't going to fuss about one man especially if it risked 8 more. The finality is who cares about it too much in game form. If people are too stupid to read real history that's not the gaming industry's problem, that is their own. Games and movies should never by any means be taken as historical representations no matter how much people think they might have merit, leave that for history books and education. A true feminist will tell you that women fought in the war, but they will also stand behind the fact that they were't many and that it was a white man's war, no matter how much people want to believe that's not true.

Women fought in french and soviet resistances. Were there a lot, hell no. But they were there so why the hell not? What, will your dicks fall off if you see a woman in a video game in 2017 based on a truly horrific war that happened in the 1940s? Are you that petty?

@rcebankz: nope 12 at launch and a 13th in december which is The Battle of Jakku. So 13 by the end of the year. Really not a lot go maps.

@retron57: and it'll probably unquestionably boring too. Groundbreaking in size means little to nothing in the gaming world. Did you ever play Elder Scrolls Daggerfall? A 62 sq mile map, huge for back then but the game was built on the same principal that No Man's Sky is doing, a randomly generated environment. Daggerfall just became a boring running/ridnig simulator. As much as I want No Man's Sky to succeed, this seems to be history repeating itself. I hope I'm wrong, but it just doesn't look that way.

I know many people are being rude. But It seems like she took this game personally because she is in fact a woman playing in what was a "man's world". now hold on a second, the minds behind GTA V are men, and im talking about the head honchos here, how does she expect them to understand what it would be like being a woman in these situations. Not to mention that its ROCKSTAR, they live to spoof the real world, and misogyny is still very much real, so they exaggerated it in the game to make fun of it. Its not like Rockstar is filled with all men throwing a sausage party talking about how much girls are inferior to men. Now over at IGN Keza McDonald didnt have any problems with this and she's also a woman, so really I think Ms. Petit here let emotion get into it, which is unprofessional. Still a 9/10 is no reason to bitch at a reviewer.

@JimmyJumpy @Simplythebest12 The US economy is not the worst in the world. Come one man, don't be ignoant. Im not saying its the best or that its even better than Polnand.but it sure as hell is not even close to the worst.

Its actually not MICROSOFT. I have an in at Microsoft, they are as stumped as the rest of us. I doubt they'll do anything about it.

@ADPowers they didnt add any this time around. Although during this time some guys would just wear something like a clip to just clip their guns onto themselves. Or they just didnt give a damn and focused on the game being fun. Or they just haven't added them in since its just a small detail.
