As far as invasions are concerned, I like the idea of the way of the blue covenant. Dark Souls was filled with too many bullshit griefers. Anyone who has played through the game once knows how to get a lot of the top tier weapons, with upgrades without completing certain bosses or levelling up. Griefers then ruin the game for people just starting out because they think pvp is too hard and it isn't fair that the invader can one shot them while they can just do chipping damage.

The problem was that you have someone who understands the game vs someone who doesn't and this discourages the victim from wanting to pvp in the future since they associate the pvp experience as being completely bullshit. Whereas pvp can be fun, honorable experience, when the bullshit is removed.

For the way of the blue covenant, I hope they remove the level cap for the covenant member that comes to help and possibly summons multiple covenant members to come and help. That way the griefers with very overpowered weapons will need to be extremely good with them to win and turns low level invasions into a hardcore experience which it should be instead of noob land.

I'm still not quite satisfied with the co-op changes. I love that your friend doesn't get kicked when you beat a boss, and perhaps that means you can summon them in an area that the boss has already been beaten.

However, why put a time limit on it? If people want to play co-op, they want to do so for a while and if you make process, the friend that was summoned has to make their way to where they left off or the person that did the summoning has to back track and go through all the same content again. Doing content twice sucks a little bit.

I can understand from an invasion standpoint that you want to make it harder on people doing co-op, but they could just make it so two people invade at once like in the forest for Dark Souls 1.

That being said, I like that it is dedicated server since co-op required a lot of time monkeying with ports and spamming signs just so it would show up in the friend's work and connect.

Two more things I would like to see:

- Allow co-op as undead (especially since invasions are now allowed as undead)... It's too hard to farm humanity at the beginning, and for a game that wants to punish you with deaths at the beginning makes co-op a limited affair.

- Allow co-op players to walk between areas, and every area to be summonable. It is far too annoying hitting the fog wall and having to find where the next summon point is and figuring out all the rules for why your friend can't be summoned.

@DigiRave @IncinX @MapRef41N93W You should read a little bit on what fear actually is, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear. Btw, emotions are not based on logic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotion. I chose wikipedia since it is friendly for people like you. You don't have to read the articles, just the first sentence.

I think my point is proven so I'm done here, have fun trolling.

@DigiRave @IncinX @MapRef41N93W I didn't say you spoke about desensitization. I am saying you are desensitized to what is in these video games. That is because you play a lot of them.

You seem like an angry and stubborn person who needs to feel validated in a forum, so imma let that slide.

The fact of the matter is that you still think how you feel is the "correct" way to feel because you are calling other people idiots who perhaps get more engaged in the video game experience. In video games, there is the concept of "engagement" which you project the emotions you feel to the character you are playing. Fear is an emotion induced from a perceived threat, and if you are emotionally engaged in the game, you may feel fear based on the threat to the character that you are playing. If you do not become engaged in a game, then you may not feel this way. Generally, game designers strive to increase engagement in the games they make.

That doesn't mean that a rational person, after playing the game, can't distinguish between the images they were seeing in the game and real life. For a brief moment though, they were engaged and perhaps felt fear for their main character and then they put the controller down.

Don't be so naive into thinking how you think is the way everyone should think.

@DeanoFantasy I fail to see how a 360 melting relates to you breaking your leg or why you put the 360 in the middle of the floor thus giving it the ability to break your leg =)

@DigiRave @MapRef41N93W Actually DigiRave, I interpreted what you said as MapRef did. If you show someone a photograph of a dead body, some people will cringe, or puke. Some people won't. Movies and games enhance the aspect by providing disturbing imagery to some.

You are fairly naive in your comment because you extend how you feel to disturbing images to the wider populace, hence "so anyone who doesn't think like you is an idiot". You are just desensitized to this kind of imagery, whereas others aren't.

You calling them idiots because they aren't desensitized and disturbing imagery actually has an affect on them shows more about your idiocy since you don't understand how people operate, only yourself, which you project onto others. You shouldn't be so naive.

@Larouche911 @hitomo

Oh, and the PVP is some of the best I have experienced in any game. For one, it is spontaneous, if you restored your humanity, you may engage in PVP at any time. PVP ends up being a dance between you and the other player that rewards skill. A lot of people HATE the PVP because some people feel that it is forced upon them. However, I will tell you this now, there are almost no consequences for losing in PVP.

Pro tip: When someone invades your world, walk to the nearest bonfire and then wait for your invader. Have some fun fighting them, if you lose, your souls are right next to the bonfire that you just walked to ;)

@hitomo Um... no... You only think DS is cheap because you suck at it and don't want to invest the time to get better which is exactly why DS is so polarizing. Some people praise it as being one of the most challenging games of all time, others (like yourself) say that it is too hard or "cheap".

I will tell you why you are wrong. Cheap is Diablo 3 when you get 1 shot in inferno because you don't have the gear yet. Cheap is an enemy with an unavoidable attack. Dark Souls is not cheap, every attack is dodgeable, and you can beat them game with barely any equipment. Don't believe me? Watch some of the speed runs of the game on Youtube and you will see how these guys beat it with pure skill. The great thing about DS is that it seems easy once you have beat the game once, why? Because you have learned how all the enemies work and you know how to beat them all. However, you need to invest the time and the excitement of the game is going from level to level, encountering a new enemy and thinking "Oh shit, I wonder what he can do", then he kills you, you pick up your souls and try a different strategy. That is challenging, and not cheap.
