@radikel @naz99 It's not as much grinding as you think. The game gives ample amount of loot to build your character and survive the difficulty. You could play through normal and cruel difficulty without any grinding. Merciless difficulty may take a bit of grinding but way less than Diablo 3.
Dark souls is an awesome game, and I encourage you to try this game while you wait for Dark Souls II to come out =).
@Falzonn This guy said it perfectly. The only thing I could add is that the end game content features "maps" which are like loot, but can be crafted/enhanced as well. These create random zones that alter the monsters and map in some cool ways that add a lot of replayability and addictive amounts of loot.
@GanjaFarmer210 @IncinX @shannybaybay Yeah, I shouldn't have listed that as a pro that PC's can connect to TV's. It is just that sometimes Console games forget.
That is really cool that you get games for free on Playstation. However, Steam offers console games at release that are usually $60 for $50. This is because of the extra fee that console companies charge to get their money back. Sometimes steam has the same price as consoles, but that is because the publisher is greedy. When the steam sales come though, pretty much ALL games have 50-75% off, even if the game has only been out for a couple months, it's quite ridiculous.
I am not trying to tout an opinion of PC as better than Consoles. I have both, and I like them both. But I think it is very naive to say that PC's are for everything else except games.
@JanCarl0 @IncinX I was only talking to the co-op experience. If you have a friend that you want to play the game with, it is an extremely painful process. If you and your friend are both new, then it can be a difficult game for both.
I think another thing they need, the co-op duo shouldn't get kicked when one of them dies. Instead their souls should drop, the monsters should reset and they should have to fight their way back to their souls.
