the thing is is that for starcraft and diablo, it has a huge fan base. mostly from people in korea and other asian countries. they have tv channels devoted to starcraft tournaments. it dosent matter if its the same genre as WoW theyll still make alot of money. here in NZ the diablo 2 box set is still like $50.
i had something like this. try reinstalling steam. it worked for me cause when i had logged on it said it needed an update so i let it sit there (i have dialup). it got to about 20% stopped went back to 0% and then said thatn steam is unavailable. i took my comp to my parents work (for broadband) and reinstalled it. it worked and i got to play a bit of CSS
they eed to make a new diablo. i heard somewhere that they were going to but they are gonna make it like they are with starcraft 2. (not changing much)
when XP first came out it got the same reception that vista is getting. the only reason that you should stick with XP is cause theyve spent almost 6 years on updates and so on for it.
DoW shouldnt be classed as a classic just yet... a new expansion is coming out next year. o ya if you are gona buy DoW get the new expansion cause you get all of the teams and dont have to pay for the other 3 games.
just stick with XP for the time. Vista is really bad. with xp the games you play require less RAM and with XP you can still play all of your old PC games that dont work on Vista. and microsoft is going down soon
