Isn't that what the 'Steam' consoles are for? Maybe we will see HL3 but only on a Steam machine...

I've always wondered about that, you know. Why do developers release exclusives? Sure, for 3rd party, we can assume that they are getting a cash payment that makes up for any potential loses from going exclusive, but for 1st party games, i wonder. Is it more profitable to get better sales on multiple consoles, or to improve your console sales while sacrificing games sales by going exclusive? Pretty much it boils down to, what gives u more money? selling 10 million copies of a game or selling 4 million copies and 1 million consoles? I suppose console sales are a longer investment in that the bigger the user base, the more money future games will make, and also I assume Sony gets some cash for every single game released on PS4? Im not sure, just guessing so if you know, please do tell me. :P

343 studio is the studio that's making me interested in Halo again. I loved Halo 1 but hated pretty much every other Bungie Halo game. Still havent played 4 but it looks amazing and I wanna play it so badly.

On a completely unrelated note, Everytime I read 343 Studios, I think about that old shitty dev company 989 studios that brought out the worst Twisted Metal games ever and nearly killed the franchise. and that 3xtreme game they brought out lol. I guess the get props for using 1337 5p34k before it became a huge thing :P

I dont think we can blame steam for this. Its very hard to be accessible to all devs, yet maintain strict quality control. There are so many games on steam that it would be very hard to monitor everything. Yes, crap games like this fall through the cracks, but the honest to God truth is that no one else has a system that even comes close matching steam.

I'll save you the trouble: like most survival games (yes, it's a survival game at heart) it's broken to hell and back.

Never played the game but thats how it looks to me from the videos i've seen. Great ideas and great concepts, but looks a little glitchy. Looks like a great game that just happens to be lacking the polish of an AAA game. So pretty much its like an obsidian game :P

I would say 30 million suckers, but ugh I actually bought that piece of shit too.

God what a boring ass genre. Fucking hermits gassed this series up and it has nothing to do with "depth" or actually being good at the game, which you would expect given the elitism, shit is fucking interactive labor. Go do bitch work for a bunch of hours and then eventually you'll get an item that upgrades you from bitch to mega-bitch.

Very much agree

I bought into the hype. Hermits couldnt stfu about this series so I was like "lets see whats so special about this". In the end I was left with the feeling "Was this shit hermits hyped for so long?". It required literally no skill. Its just grinding through some very boring dungeans, killing the same enemies over and over again and picking up loot that looked the same most of the times, only some minor color changes. What a lame ass game and lame ass genre

Proof that hermits hype everything thats not on consoles (Diablo 3 wasnt on consoles at the time) and use most consolites ignorance on some series to brand it "hardcore". Diablo had nothing of hardcore

Yeah, it's a joke to call a game that doesn't punish you for dying hardcore.

I mean, I get that most games don't punish the player too harshly. Most of the time they just set you back a ways, but that's enough to make me not want to die. It works. But in Diablo 3, you can literally respawn right where you died and keeping hacking away at shit.

Well you could just play diablo 3 in hardcore mode.....

So many suckers.

The real suckers are people like me, who bought D3 day 1. That was a HUGE mistake. I bought it day one, got to level 60 and forgot the game ever existed. The people who started playing it after RoS was released, they got the best deal, cause RoS (and the patch that came along it) pretty much made D3 a new game. Now im not talking FF: Realm Reborn levels of fixing a game, but somewhere in the ballpark. The game has improved so much since its inception that it feels like a completely different game. D3 (day one) was a huge waste of my money, but RoS definitely was not. If you dont wanna buy the expansion, even the core D3 game now is so much better due to all the patches they released that fixed all the glaring issues.

I prefer western. From the JRPGs and action games I play, I feel like the player doesnt connect with the stories as much. As I play FF I enjoy the story like watching a play. As I play The Last of Us I enjoy the story as if I was there and I'm so invested in how the characters are affected by it. Its two different styles, both enjoyable but I prefer western story telling.
