Was HDD A recognized before you accidentally formatted it?Jandurin

Yes. The only thing that makes "HDD A" different from the others is that it is the one that came with the console (an Elite). I don't know how the accidental formatting would have affected my console, since it was not the one I was using to make the transfer.

My "friend", who has seen (and repaired) hundreds if not thousands of faulty 360s and accessories, has never seen this before.

Wait, who are you again? :P789shadow

Let's just say I'm a very old member. Haven't posted in a long time.

I recently attempted to transfer data from 60GB 360 hard drive to a 120GB that came with an Elite, using a transfer kit on a friend's console. Somehow I accidentally reformatted it in the process, making it unusable (the "memory" screen said "no devices found", and didn't work any other console I tried). I got this newest 360 second-hand, so the warranty had long expired. I took it to a modder who was able to reformat the hard drive back to its original format. We tested it out and it worked perfectly fine on his in-store console. So, problem solved, right?

For some reason, my console still couldn't detect the hard drive, even after removing and re-inserting it several times. I put it into my friend's console (the one I was using when I screwed the HD up in the first place), and it worked fine.

So I figure something is wrong with my console, but it reads other hard drives with no issues whatsoever. It's an Elite, so the HD came with the console (and worked fine before the faulty transfer). So apparently there is nothing wrong with my hard drive (since it works fine on any other console), and there is nothing wrong with my 360 (as it can read other hard drives). Yet, for some reason, both of them together are seemingly incompatible.

So...wtf?

Miyamoto did say that TP was the last Zelda of its kind, or something along those lines. Personally I'm just curious as to what he implied by that.

Hey GUFU, it's been a while since I last posted here.

This may be old but I didn't see anything on the board discussing it. About a month ago there was a leak of some concept art for the new Zelda title being developed for the Wii:

http://kotaku.com/5279554/first-look-at-new-zelda-games-concept-art

Right off the bat, the art direction seems very similar to that of Twilight Princess. The Master Sword is abscent from Link's hand, yet the girl/fairy/thing behind him seems to bear designs on her dress akin to the sword's hilt. Interesting.

Sorry if this is old and already discussed to death. I guess I haven't been keeping up to date lately.

Off the top of my head:

Gears of War 2 (got kinda repetitive, will probably finish eventually)

Dead Space (same as Gears, except adding constant deaths into the mixture)

Tales of Symphonia 2 (ugh....just, don't get me started)

I've got my tickets to see the film this Friday. The teaser trailer is what got me to read the graphic novel in the first place, and since the I've become a huge fan. I think I'll skip Tales of the Black Freighter for now until it becomes re-integrated into the movie, just like it was presented in the comic.

As far as the campiness of the film goes, I actually welcome it to a degree. While Watchmen is indeed supposed to be taken seriously, almost half of the story is based on a satirical approach to the genre as well (as the infamous blood-stained smiley face motif suggests). Most superhero films have camp oozing out the seams, and part of the purpose of the Watchmen film is to reflect on those movies, just as the book reflected (and deconstructed) the campiness of superhero comics. So, in that sense, I don't think Snyder missed the point at all.

I think it will be a great film. Far from perfect, granted, but great nonetheless.

By the way, check out the new interactive trailer.

If this is the case, then by god, what took them so long!? There are a ton of bosses throughout the various Zelda games I'd love to replay without having to replay the entire game.Hoffgod

This is one of the many reasons why Majora's Mask is one of the best in the series.

Heh. Quite a few people seem to be reading Watchmen at the moment. Wonder why that is? :P
