@GTR12: Okay, I think I understand the DSR thing now. I do notice how much better it looks on this 24 inch monitor now that you mention it. So thanx for that.

@GTR12: Okay, I did the "Nvidia DSR" thing. Didn't do anything to the game. The settings right now are Resolution 3840x2160 59.94Hz with all settings maxed out. Not sure what that means, but the game run without any issues.

Okay....I finally installed and am currently playing Dragon Age Inquisition with every graphical and display setting turned all the way up to Ultra. I also have two websites playing live TV, and I'm gonna try downloading some porn from multiple tabs all at the same time. Hey, you guys told me to push it, right? lol

But so far, my PC hasn't frozen up on me or slowed down. But I'm not gonna lie, I'm extremely uncomfortable playing any game right now out of fear of it freezing. I've never been this uneasy playing a game on a computer before. I guess you can say it's paranoia from my laptop, but damn, it's killing me.

Anyway, I have one final component to add to this PC...speakers. I've settled on the ones I showed you guys. Gonna buy them tonight. That should finalize everything, unless something comes up. I can't even begin to tell you all how grateful I am for all the help and patience. I can't thank you all enough.

Thanx a lot, guys!

But just in case, I wouldn't forget about this topic....something is bound to happen. So don't be surprised if you hear from me on this topic again. lol

@GTR12: Yeah, myy problem with the speakers is that I don't have anymore space left to place a subwoofer anywhere. At least not until I get another place. I barely have room for the speakers I want. I have to find a way to make that work.

The bluetooth keyboard is years old, but it hasn't let me down yet. I just hate wires to death, that's why I gravitate towards them. The mouse came with the adapter "dongle" in the pack. Same age as the keyboard and still going strong. I'm gonna take a chance on one to see if it works for the keyboard. I'm just waiting for the seller to answer me back.

I really don't open the Geforce Experience thing. I wait for it to inform me about updates and install them as they come. I don't bother with the controls.

By the way, what does "Passive" mean when talking about bass or subwoofers?

@jun_aka_pekto: Yeah, I should have mentioned that. I absolutely cannot STAND wires, OR laptop keyboards, so I got me a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth keyboard and stuck with them for about 6 years now.

I still have the laptop. I'm just gonna reset it eventually, put it in a sealed bag to prevent dust, and put it up. Because it's still a good laptop.

@GTR12: Okay, about the bluetooth thing...I'm not worried about anything mobile. I have a butt load of USB cables for that. What I'm looking for is bluetooth access for my keyboard. It's a wireless Dell keyboard that has bluetooth. My question is will one of those tiny adapters (like the one I use for my mouse) work for access to my keyboard? I've been looking up that CSR 4.0 thing, but all they seem to show pictures of are everything BUT keyboards. Fortunately, they're cheap enough for me to take a chance on, so I'll pull the trigger on one maybe tomorrow. In the mean time, I'm using a wired USB keyboard that I got really cheap on ebay.

As for the GPU drivers...I go that Geforce Experience thing on this computer and it updates every freaking couple weeks with new drivers (drives me nuts sometimes). It looks like that link you gave me for the GPU drivers are telling me to download the driver that I already have, so I guess I'm caught up when it comes to the graphics card....at least I freaking BETTER be after all this.

The speakers you gave a link to don't seem to have any bass (that's what I get from reading the reviews). The laptop I have had a mini subwoofer inside (that's what it advertises anyway), so the sounds was pretty loud and good. I'm a bass junkie...especially when it comes to movies and games, so those people have me uneasy about those speakers. Not sure if I showed you this yet, but these are the speakers I'm leaning towards...mainly because it says something about having a subwoofer inside. I'm extremely limited on space and money, so these just might be the last things I buy after the bluetooth thing. Tell me what you think.

And by the way, I installed the driver for the Graphics card and the motherboard via the CD's that came with them. I had to hookup the DVD drive to do it. I'm trying to sell the thing on ebay, so it pissed me off that I couldn't find the drivers online and had to unpack that thing.

Anyway, I'm gonna seriously need some speakers, because the speakers that are connected to this monitor suck royal whale nipples. I have some speakers in mind. If you know anything about these, let me know before I pull the trigger. They're the cheapest I could find. And I am freaking SICK of spending money. I'm running out FAST.

Possible Speakers

I swear, I'm hoping this is the absolute last thing I'll be asking anybody's opinion on. This is sad seeing as all these years I THOUGHT I was good with computers. Turns out I don't know jack sh*t.

@GTR12: Okay, I ran the benchmark thing you told me about and here were the results...maybe you can make some sense out of this....

FPS: 85.4

Score 2151

Min FPS: 8.9

Max FPS: 186.5

Settings:

Render: Direct3D11

Mode: 1600x900 8xAA Fullscreen

Quality: Ultra

Tessellation: Extreme

Now, I only know what FPS stands for, and I know that people are always trying to get a "60" for that. I just don't know how I got such a low "8.9" or what that means. Maybe you can make sense out of the rest of that stuff. It's all Greek to me.

@GTR12: Okay, I'm gonna look into that benchmark thing you talked about. And here are a couple of the USB bluetooth adapters I'm looking at on ebay. Please let me know if these will work. Remember, my Dell keyboard is already a bluetooth wireless keyboard. I just don't have bluetooth on this PC...just saying that pisses me off. I can't believe I didn't look into that.
