I didn't think FFVII had any luster to begin with, IV and VI were far better.

But the games i feel lost their luster over time is probably spider-man maximum carnage for genesis, it still looks great but the game is SO hard that i can't play it.

All the true JRPG games were on the SNES, Earthbound, FF2 & 3 (by far best in series), Mario RPG, Illusion of Gaia & Time, Lufia 1 & 2, Secret of Mana, and so on. Current-gen JRPG games can't stack up to the quality that was available on the SNES lineup

Oh well, its probably too generous. 4 and 6 were the only true great final fantasy games.

I've tried researching some stuff on the game to see if anything came up but i don't know where to look. Has anyone heard anything about the game besides what's in the prologue demo? Im especially interested in knowing if they are going to finally add damage modeling (imo, the only thing holding back the fantastic franchise).

It's another attempt at making console avatars, except it's stuck in a virtual chat room form, its not really a game, chatting online is more of an MSN thing. So, i have to agree with everyone, it sucks
