[QUOTE="caseystryker"]I had to take my PS3 apart to get Mirrors Edge out after it died. It was already past it's warranty date so it didn't really matter. Then I just sent it in, paid $150 and got it fixed.caseystryker

Guess I'll do the same, I'll take it apart over the weekend. $150 for repair :? I'm not willing to pay that. Oh well, I can probably get a pretty good trade in value for my ps3 console and collection (Seeing as GameStop doesnt check if the systems work).

I don't know about that, I'm pretty sure they hook it up and turn it on to test it out. I'm not 100% sure, but you may want to find out.

When my first 360 got RROD (didnt take advantage of 3 year warranty since mine was modded) they didn't test it when i traded it in. I don't want to sound like a fanboy by replacing the 360 and not the PS3, but not only have I had a 360 break, my Wii eventually died (though not worth replacing), and now my PS3, I'm just getting sick of paying for these systems, especially seeing as my SNES and Genesis still work perfectly after all these years.

My PS3 just got YLOD and I can't get it to eject the disc, looking at some posts online people reccomended using the fan test (turn off w/ power swich -> hold eject -> turn on power switch) but it still wont eject the disc. Does anyone know of any other methods of getting the PS3 to spit out the disc, or am I going to have to disassemble the system?

Just to clarify... Its the 80GB MGS4 console from 2008

I was really dissapointed in the Saturn. There were so few games I enjoyed on it, I pretty much forgot about it once I got my N64. I also had to get a modchip in the system since many retailers carried so few Saturn games it felt near impossible to find the games I wanted.

As a psp go owner having no access to PSN, it's a pain. I can't access any of my previous purchases or even buy new games :?

I own:

  • NES
  • SNES
  • N64
  • Genesis
  • Saturn
  • DreamCast
  • PSX
  • PS2

I prefer to play them on the original console... but since some titles are really hard to come by I end up buying them on XBLA or PSN. Nothing beats holding the controller the game was designed to use. Though the ONLY consoles i dont care about playing on are PSX and PS2, i didn't and still don't like them all that much, whatever I have for them i'll play on the PS3.

Final Fantasy 7 and Shenmue for sure

No idea why people called Shenmue revolutionary, it was SO boring and slow, its a game about talking to people...

In the NFS HP demo one of the races are locked, it checks if a friend had the demo to unlock it. Is there any other way of unlocking this race. The friends I have on live dont play racing games (and don't even really play games much at all) so i cant get it to unlock :?

Fable Lost Chapters was the most fun for me, Fable 2 was great too, and Fable 3 was good but IMO nowhere as fun as the first 2 games. It doesn't really feel like an rpg any more =/
