I prefer it physical too. Looks like there might be a version coming for US later but it's already available in Europe. Amazon UK or eBay should be easy to order from if you're in the states.

Well, I just bought a KEM-410ACA laser with mechanism on eBay for < £30. Acceptable, I guess. Still **** annoying to have a product like this starting tobreak downafter only 2 years of normal use and disappointing to find out how common this specific problem is.

Your friend was right. Just came across this old thread and found it hilarious. My PS3 that was bought 2 years ago suddenly stopped playing the blu-ray disc that was on the other night. Now it won't play any type of disc anymore. No other function is affected. So yes, even with normal use it seems the laser can die within2 years. Very disappointing considering I've had a Sony DVD player that lasted many years longer. Dying laser of the PS3 is an epidemic.

There is no difference in cable quality.ryokinshin6x3

Of course there is a difference but it won't make a difference as long as you're HDMI cable is just a few meters. If you need 10-20 meters when hooking up a PJ, you don't want to get the cheapest brand though.

The new Plasmas don't get burn in, they aren't like they used to be. Panasonic has the best Plasma's on the market.

blackvdub97

CurrentlyPanasonic are second best but with Pioneer closing their plasma shop in 2010 due to not enough customers buying their reference sets, they have a good chance oftakingover Pioneers patents and giving us the next Kuro. If they survive the financial crisis themselves that is.

Pioneer plasma don't get burn in like panny and the rest sometimes get. They are far ahead of the rest in that department too. It's quite unusual in most plasmas these days actually.

More money for a little better black level does not equal best TV.ryokinshin6x3

If that's all you think is better, keep believing so and don't read any professional evaluations. jeez... Have you ever watched blu-ray flicks on a pio screen? There's nothing like it.
