@frylock616 @Ghostryder371 @Sheik2 To be fair I wasn't born back then so I wouldn't have been able to complain if I'd wanted to ;) And I'm not bitching about multiplayer in the sense that I hate all multiplayer - games such as COD, Halo, WOW (it doesn't really count I know but my points still there) etc. are bought for their multiplayer components as much as their single player might be, because they do a good job of their multiplayer. But how many developers have managed to implement a good multiplayer component onto a single player franchise before? Not as many that have failed, I can tell you that much.

@Aydenuille @Ghostryder371 @Sheik2 Haha exactly. And in terms of your argument about how MGS 3 &4's multiplayer didn't affect the single player......how can you know that? However great the single player was, can you honestly say that the developers that worked on the multiplayer wouldn't have helped make the single player even better if they'd been working on that instead?

@Sheik2 But those games, albeit brilliant, were of a different generation, where publishers didn't spew out games at an alarming rate to try to both cater to wider audiences and make as much money as possible in a shorter period of time. As a result, more recently than MGS 3 & 4, games like Dead Space 3, Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect (both debatable, I'll admit, but many would argue the multiplayer wasn't necessary) all included a multiplayer aspect to a single player game and have been criticised for it. For me, if they try to add a multiplayer component to this Batman gameit will purely be to cater to multiplayer gamers and not for the fans who bought the first two games, and as a result will create a lesser single player experience. Even if they get another studio to make the multiplayer, like Crystal Dynamics did with Tomb Raider, you can bet it'll feel tacked on, unnecessary and stale.
