Anyone who has Vista would know that when you make a folder and try to change the icon to the cool looking ones that Vista assigns to the ones in your [My Documnets] you get given some plain looking ones to use. I found this myself so don't post telling me is been done b4 :).
Make a shortcut on your desktop.
Make sure that your shortcut directory is for your C:\
You will notice that the icon is the good looking one displayed in [My Computer]
Then right click the shortcut and click change icon.
Note the icon DLL directory is [C:\Windows\system32\imageres.dll]
Copy this directory and go to any folder and right click > change icon, then paste this into the icon directory.
The default for user made folders is [%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll]
There, you now have access to the nice looking icons that Vista uses.
