wow.....jimmeny jillekers Radioactive Man.
Headset: I use the one I already had for my phone.
HDMI cables: I got mad haggling skills and talked my TV salesman into giving me a free one when I bought my TV. It pays not to shop at best buy. Find a local seller, you can work with them. I also haggled another one out of my comcast sales rep. They will do anything to sign a new customer. Their commission is far more than the cost of a cable.
Ethernet cable: Over the years I have amassed a collection of cables. I have more ethernet cables than I have devices to connect them too. If you haven't done that yet, then knock on your neighbors door, he probably has multiple. Think of it like getting a cup of sugar.
Controller: It comes with the best controller and a charging cable. Even if you have to buy a new one, they may be $60 but it is still cheaper than 360 controllers.....assuming you want the same plug and play capabilities. When it comes to 3rd party controllers the ps3 has better ones too, like the FragFX by Splitfish. I love that controller for my shooters. My ps3 controller may or may not last this entire generation, but I know that your 360 won't.........ooooo that means that mine won't either.
HDD: I just upgraded to a 250gb for 80 bucks. Got in on a nice sale at Fry's. The 360 HDD is $100 for 20gb.....it isn't special in any way. It too is a laptop hdd, except it is in a bulky case.
MS nickle and dimes it's customers way more than Sony. Most buisnesses do it. Some more than others.
