It's easily one of the best shows on TV and a great translation from book to screen. There are some parts from the books I wish they included but from the most part the changes are good.

Doesn't matter whether it's the show or the books. My favorite may not be the most popular, but I think Theon is the best. He is such a despicable person but he is also one of the most complex characters in the series. His transformation in book 5 was so unexpected. It made him easily the most interesting character in that book. I would have liked to see more on him rather than way too many pages of Dany whining and generally being a bit annoying.

Tyrion is probably my second favorite in the show and books.

They can be interesting if done well like REC and the original Paranormal Activity, but now they are just getting dull. Chernobyl Diaries looks like a pretty tasteless excuse to have Chernobyl as a horror setting, and that recent movie Chronicle would have been much better without the pointless found footage aspect. Also the Paranormal Activity sequels are getting dull too. I heard there is now going to be a 4th one.

[QUOTE="lloveLamp"]batmayng has raised the standard. so spiderman most likely will look poor in comparisonTonyDanzaFan
Ya see, this is what bothers me. These movies shouldn't be trying to copy Batman. I want to see a live action comic book, not some realistic adaption. It works with Batman because he doesnt have super powers, but it feels like so many of these movies are trying to copy the formula. That's why I liked the orihginal spiderman's so much. They brought a comic book to life on the big screen. They were fun, yet they still had a great story and great characters. "WHOA! He stole that guys pizza!!!"

Not much about the trailer screamed realistic reboot to me. Also trailers tend to paint a different portrait of the movie that isn't always accurate.

Looks potentially quite good. Andrew Garfield is a much better actor than Tobey Maguire and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy is a great choice.

I thought it was the best superhero movie I've seen in years. Which is saying something because I thought Superhero movies were getting dull. This though is a fantastic combo of great characters with convincing chemistry, humor, entertaining story, great acting and action. Even Scarlett Johansson who is usually pretty bland and wooden did a decent job. The guy who played Loki was especially impressive. Mark Ruffalo was a fantastic Hulk replacement. I actually thought Norton was pretty boring as Hulk. Eric Bana was a much better one. Heck despite that movie's flaws I still like the Bana Hulk movie more than the Norton one.

Richard Thompson- I Want To See the Bright Lights Tonight

Richard Thompson is one of my favorite songwriters. His albums with Linda Thompson are amazing and this one is their best. The songs have depth but can also be tremendously entertaining and occasionaly somber.

I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as Casino Royale but I still liked it. Reminded me of License To Kill which is one of my favorite Bond films. I like the more gritty bond. The gadgets were getting silly with Pierce Brosnan. Especially the stupid invisible car. The newer films are more like the books where bond is a cold more detached killer who also happens to be charming. The gadgets are not necessary.
