Ratchet and Clank.: A Crack In Time and Mario Galaxy II are the two best games of the two best platformer franchises on current consoles. The question is simple, which do you think is better.
My synopsis.:
Having played neither, I can only go from what I read in magazines and online. R|C seems to be the most diverse of the two, it has platforming, action, spacetravel in a semi-open world, the better story and the better characters. Mario Galaxy II might have the same amount of content, but it is just pure platforming, but probably the best out there. I personally like both franchises, but am a fan of neither.
Haing played and finished the first couple of R&C games on the Playstation II, I Think the game hasnt evolved enough since that Time from what I've seen. Though I do dig the slightly more cellshaded look of this latest entry. Plaus, The Hob/Space/World is a very cool idea, with little mini platforming worlds that would probably consume allot of the players time.
Mario Galaxy II seems to be getting perfect scores all around. There's no denying it's a Great game, but I am weary with scores when it comes to an "official" entry in the Mario series. I don't Think there's a reviewer out there that would dare give it a 6-7 out of 10. Having said that, I played Mario Galaxy I, and I can barely Remember it, I can't even Remember if I Finished it...... I enjoyed My Time with it, but it didn't stick with Me like the old Classics such as Super Mario Bro 3 and Super Mario World. (You Think The Orange Box was Great value???? Try Super Mario All Stars, looking at it as a whole, it's probably The Best Game Ever. So on that note, I'm Thinking that instead of buying Mario Galaxy II, I Might asswell RePlay the first. After all, The gimmick of Planets and Gravity remain the same.
Â
In any case, what is your Opinion of All this????Â
I've only played a couple of hours of it, and even then, it wasnt anything of The Story, just messing around.(Bought the game and its expansion on a half price Steam sale somewhere around November.)
I do Think its a game I might like, but I'd need to buy a controller first (Dont have the X360 Controller cable.). SInce my keyboard skills are lacking enough to take the fun out of the game. It is a game that I'll play with cheatcodes though. I want to be ALL POWERFULL ALL THE TIME.
Illidan hurts Arthas x2
Illidan ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
Trust me, the "I might be pregnant" phonecall is what I've been dreading for a long time.
To allaborate on the above question. Should you have kids, and they were of the right age, which games would you show them first?Â
Having said that, I do think it might be interesting to have the birds and the bees talk with a God of War sex scene as a visual example.
If I could, Id make Sweet Love to Fable II. And be quite the generous lover.
Anyways, from this statement you can see Fable II was My favorite game of the past coule of years. I Always want to play it, but at this point, I know it From Heart so well that I can just play it in My Head.
I am a bit worried of the short development cycle of just 2 years though. Fable I was in develoment FOREVER, and Fable II was 4-6 years or something as well. SO I assume their gonna rehash allot of stuff. Mind you, I dont mind it, I love the current setting and wouldnt change it for anything else. But I do HOPE the campaign will be long (Nothings worse then a 14-16 hours
We've all heard of Obsidian's latest RPG, Alpha Protocol. It seems their first foray into creating an Original IP is just a bit to "Meh" in the eyes of reviewers are their.
I'm in the fence MySelf, apparently the graphics and A.I. are not some of the best out there. But the story, its (By you) Chosen development and the characters are almost second to none (Which is all I truly Care about in an RPG, or any game in general).
So, what are your impreesions????
Fiiiiine....be that way.......:D:D;);)
Since this topic is kinda slow, I'll go again.
Seeing as your 33, how do you find The Time to play games like Dragon Age.: Origins???? Hell, I'm a couple years younger and I don't even have the oppertunity to play past the first Episode in Alan Wake.
