I will start by saying that, for the most part, I agree with the reviewer. BUT.
From what I read, 30h is nowhere near enough to fully get the idea of what this particular game is. For example, Stellaris does end-game so much better than other 4x games, through the introduction of empire-or even galaxy-wide crises, which this reviewer neglected to mention. While I agree that diplomacy is a bit barebones atm, devs already announced an overhaul, and mid-game can be a bit stale, it is nevertheless more reminiscent of Paradox' historical grand strategy games and I personally don't mind it. In fact, I rather like it.
And, knowing Paradox, a lot is going to change in the coming weeks and months, by the means of major free updates and DLCs that will keep coming for quite a few years.

Funny that as I'm playing F: New Vegas right now in hopes of actually finishing the main questline this time round.

There was a great hacking thing in Front Mission 3 back on PSX. It had a whole pretend internet in it and you could get passwords from conversations and such. I remember having a piece of paper with all the ones I found written down. Was really impressed by it when I was a kid.

Not a big fan of Civs, only a couple dozen hours into the last one, but this... this I'm really interested in.

Game looks quite interesting.
And sorry to complain, but the way this video has been edited and cut made me want to puke and beeps on swear words really annoyed me.

Please don't hit me

I really, really agree with that. That is why I never completed any of the Saints Row Games, any of Just Cause games, I really struggled through FarCry3 and Sleeping Dogs and that one open-world Red Faction. The only reason I managed to go relatively painlessly through any of AC games was because the setting was so unique and 'untouched' by games before.
On the other hand I loved Fallouts, Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind, and most of Rockstar creations.
All because I didn't have access to all the mini games and whatnot from the start, games eased me into them and I didn't feel the compulsion to do them first, forgetting about missions that move the story forward, obsessing over winning some stupid race so the blip on my map would say 'complete', grinding my teeth in frustration when it turned out I needed a faster vehicle to win it/a better weapon/ a perk or ability that will only be availableto IF you do some story missions.
I would even forgive the fact that it feels like a playground for the player if there was more of a sense of progression.

Btw, I find myself agreeing with Danny on many of his Points, which leads me to believe that he's an alright guy.

I would just like to point out that none of the books that these games are based on contain any spoilers. The story in the games take place after all the events of the novels and short stories. So do yourself a favor and go read them ^.^

I actually agree with what was written here.If someone told me that even few months ago I would defend XBL to death... but now I can't even be bohered to buy the subscription.Of course I eventually will have to buy it since there are a few DLCs coming out that I want very much indeed... And when I do buy it I will feel robbed blind...
