Although I agree that this isn't a "perfect" solution (perfect would be same price as PS4, and no Kinect), I have to say I'm now officially satisfied with the result.

Anyone who checks my profile will see on my last blog entry that I was personally encouraging a boycott to Microsoft but I feel there's hardly any need for that now.

My suggestions on how to deal with Microsoft are on my profile (latest blog entry) so I won't repeat myself here. All I want to say is "don't give up" to the people who want to see MS back down from their new approach to gaming.

If a GameSpot reporter shows no emotion, he's called a "robot". If he shows a negative presence, people complaint he should go home and let someone else do the job. If he shows a positive stance, people complaint he's biased towards the news being presented.

Morons are never pleased.

@demigod55 @EvanescentCrow Hacking what? The Live network? That's hardly what most people are complaining about. You read the wrong messages, apparently.

If that's not what you were referring to, then your reply makes no sense.

@stabester @mpeg3s He's fishing for replies. A new message gets more attention than a reply to something down the list.

@demigod55 It's about how we allow the future of the industry to be shaped, not whether you can play 360 used games. Read what other people have been saying in the comments.

@electroban @EvanescentCrow @mpeg3s @stabester True, but when someone is so stupid as to say the Xbox One can't be modded and its games cracked, I'd rather send them to the big boys than waste my time with them.

@mpeg3s @EvanescentCrow @stabester The fact you're mixing all those terms around without even knowing what they mean, hints that you're just trolling, so I won't feed you any longer.

Unicorns may not exist, but a modded Xbox One running a cracked game can - you don't need to be a genius to know this, just some basic computer knowledge should suffice.

@mpeg3s @stabester If you're too young to study Computer Science, at least ask someone old enough to explain to you how hardware and software work.

THEN you may have a clue about what you're talking about, and you'll realize why "modding" and "cracking" (not the same as "hacking", by the way) always work in these things.

Top 3 excuses people (who are either stupid or got paid by Microsoft) still make in favor of the Xbox One:

1 - It's all because of those blasted pirates!

False. Pirates will continue to do just fine. In fact, better, since now more people will be encouraged to pirate these games. A chip in the console will stop it from accessing MS servers, and cracked games are already a pirate's bread and butter. Just download them and play them on your modded Xbox One. Simple. In other words, Microsoft knows it's not preventing piracy. They do it because they hope to make more profit by going into the pockets of legitimate consumers.

2 - Everyone has internet these days, so it's no big deal.

False. Everyone has blood running in their veins too. Should the next gen consoles ask us to cut our finger and donate a drop of blood every 24h to prove we're the legitimate owners of the game being played (don't you just love DNA checks)? Just because you "can", doesn't mean you "must" or even "should". This is abusive behavior, pure and simple.

3 - Everything is going digital anyway.

False. When PDFs became popular, a lot of people also predicted the death of books and magazines. Where are those people now? People still want to hold a physical copy of whatever they buy. Having the option to have something in digital form is just that, an option. It shouldn't be shoved down people's throats.

Any more nonsense out there?
