@pyshco i can only suspect it is consumer market share. Once a consumer is hooked Ms has you. They can sell your info to others. If you tie your hardware and software to a consumer, it would up the ante in the market say advertising, added hardwae.
When I purchase a CD, it is mine to use when I like, replay it if I like. I have never ever gone online to play as a single or as multiplayer. I don't intend to start now. If MS insists on this path, I will go PS4 (I have both Xbox & PS). If Sony tries what MS is doing, my consoles will go the way of the DoDo bird. I will find other ways to intertain. No way will I fall into line. I think MS is betting on waiting gamers out, feeling very smugly we will cave in. Will we???
