As a gamer who's been loyal to 'Microsoft' from the very beginning, personally I think the 'X1' console design is certainly nothing special. Especially compared to the competition. It simply reminds me of the huge unimaginative "Brick" design of the original Xbox released way back in 2001..

Surely Microsoft could of come up with something a little more futuristic for today's next gen gamers..

With that said, in time I will indeed own the 'X1' simply because it's the games which I love..

But to be honest, I'll most definitely be waiting patiently for price drops and possible slimmer redesigned versions..

Just like many other gamers, I'm in no rush to go 'Next Gen', due to the fact that there are more than enough '360' titles I haven't had the pleasure in playing yet.

It would be interesting to know your thoughts concerning the 'X1' design.

Do you know how long it'll take for slimmer model? If you wanna wait like 3 years then go right ahead

Thankyou.. I will.. I waited longer to purchase the 360.. As you can see by my original post, "Im in no rush"

The first time Im play a game I usually play it on normal, then next time I will up the difficulty.. Unless it's a 'Halo' title, coz I automatically play on Legendary.

NOTE: If you are not getting an Xbox One, I see no means to why you would post on this thread.

I'm leaning towards Ryse: Son of Rome and Forza 5. Yours?

NONE.. I dont like getting ripped off financially! I will simply wait like most individuals with sense

Its a great game.. But the developers stripped some of the RPG elements in the second game, which dissapointed many gamers who liked the original.

[QUOTE="shadowchronicle"]"With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies." From the xbox one site itself near the bottom. A) If I had been on holiday for a few days, on my return would I be able to simply switch on a 'Xboxone' and play online?" I'm guessing as long as you connect you'll have access to the online features. The only real penalty for being offline for more than 24 hours is that in order to play games you will need to re-establish a connection for verification.

So basically what you are saying is if you are connected to the internet anyway, everything is OK.. My internet connection is usually on at home the majority of the time anyway. so that's fine.. Many thanks.. This subject had been make much more complicated that what it actually is to be honesy.. If your constantly connected to the net anyway, it sounds as though it simply does'nt make a difference

My main questions are..

A) If I had been on holiday for a few days, on my return would I be able to simply switch on a 'Xboxone' and play online?"

B) On my return would I have to wait 24 hours before I can play online?

Would I need to leave the console on whilst away?

C) Or does the 'Xboxone' have a feature that you can switch ON, that enables it to "Check in" every 24 hours if away?

I'm Confused!
