Personally I've never played through any of the 'Myst' games, I've only sampled the occasional demo years ago plus I've only watched gameplay videos too..

But for some reason this 'point n click' series has always fascinated me due to the fact that all the 'Myst' titles including 'Riven' (the sequel to Myst) look absolutely stunning. The puzzles look mindbending and the story seems interesting also, especially due to those wonderful looking live action cut scenes.

I would love to see these games re released.. But, unlike most, I think the 'Myst' games would appeal more to this generation if released as first person titles..

Imagine being left alone to discover those magical islands whilst haunting music plays within the background setting the perfect ambiance, creating the ultimate relaxing gaming experience..

Perhaps developed by the individuals who created 'Dear Esther'.

Whilst booting the 360 up over the weekend I noticed the advertisment for the "Free Xbox Movie Weekend" on the home page..

Quite excited I quickly clicked onto the add thinking that Microsoft was yet again reward it's loyal customers with a wonderful choice of free movies to watch over the weekend.. How wrong I was.. Because the "Xbox Free Movie Weekend" simply consisted of just one movie "Stan Helsing" !! lol

I've just completed "The Orange Box" once again whilst taking a break from "The Witcher 2" and I was just wondering what's the real reason why "Half Life 2 Episode 3" is talking so long to reach gamers ?

It's been six years now since the release of "The Orange Box"!

Why so long for the next episode to this great franchise?

To be honest. the Mass Effect titles were decent games.. But after playing the first two titles twice with a character of the oposite sex whilst making different decisions ect simply to see how things worked out.. I couldn't be bothered playing the third title again due to loosing interest..

The decision making in this franchise certainly wasn't what it was all made out to be.. There wasn't enough actual decisions to make to be honest! Plus if I hadn't of checked before actually making "these huge decisions".. I wouldn't of remembered what actual decision I had made in the previous game!

Even though I wanted to play all three games till the very end, I was glad when it actually ended..

The second and third games simply felt like DLC to me.. Same graphics, same engine. same gameplay, new characters, guns, armour and a new ship, all with dumbed down RPG elements

I've only been playing this title for the past couple of days, whilst enjoying it very much, I'm still very new to the game..

At present I'm 'level 12' and just about to continue "The Floating Prison" with "Iorveth" having completed all the quests within that particular area, with interest in maxing out 'Swordmanship' and 'Magic'..

My question at present is concerning the 'Weight' section within the menu.. My weight continually seems to be arround 230/250 when I've got rid of the swords n armour I no longer want.. Most items don't even weigh '1', except for the swords and armour.. I'm not quite sure what to throw away at present due to the fact that there seems to be so many extremely light items in 'Enhancements'.. 'Potions'.. 'Alchemy'.. 'Crafting'.. 'Crafting Diagrams'..

Any advice or tips that would help would be much appreciated.

Currently playing "Rayman Origins" and even though I've nearly completed it, I do think it's a good game, I wonder whilst playing certain platformers why developers include time trials..

Anyone know where the idea of time trials originated for platformers?
