Having achievements or not is not the reason why I purchase a game. That said, given the option of achievements or no achievements; I would prefer achievements linked to some online game account. Just seeing all those achievements is nice, and gives me added incentive to actually collect all achievements.

I predict concave-shaped TVs of the future; although I have no technical or scientific knowledge whatsoever so I don't know how that would solve the problem of not having 3D glasses; but definitely my mind says it'll work, so it will.

I dislike wearing 3D glasses, cause I have to wear my glasses underneath the 3D glasses; which is a real pain. And I dislike wearing contacts.

I'm hoping by the end of the year. EBGames and GAME are giving beta codes for preorders; so I can only assume that beta is in its last few months (hopefully just 2-3 more months of beta to go).

Is the PC version compatible with the consoles (aka for co-op)?
I'm really not into multiplayer anything except with friends over LAN cause of various fears I have with online multiplayer (besides MMORPGs).
I'm darekkhort on Borderlands, 2nd Playthrough, Level 38 I think? 2nd Playthrough is so much fun; although I seem to Second Chance (or whatever) a lot more often.

I played co-op once when I started my 2nd Playthrough and kept thinking "omg, why are these guys so fast at taking loot?"

Not in beta, but I just read an update on the Single Player for the first 3 missions, as well as how awesome the editor is; so I am getting extremely excited.

Yea, I'm currently extremely interested in TERA online. Hopefully if it does have siege warfare it will be epic; and hopefully its class/profession system will be extensive.

I don't see a problem with this.
MMORPGs to many people have become like a second world/life to them. In this second life they can do absolutely amazing things, and achieve some pretty amazing goals. Just as someone might buy a $100 t-shirt whilst another person buys a $5 t-shirt; some people are willing to purchase a $25 mount so as to stand out from the crowd, or any other benefits it might bring.

I personally find it vital to have known the Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood War stories. I believe you should either read a synopsis of it, or play through the original so you get an idea behind why Jim Raynor is doing this or that, who Kerrigan is/etc/etc. You'll also get an idea of who Duran is, and what's the deal with the Xel'Naga (at least a prologue).
Great time to do so too, given that they are so cheap to get (like AUD5 each).

The Starcraft II site gives a pretty good quick-over summary of key players/etc: http://us.starcraft2.com/features/storysofar.xml
For a slightly more detailed story, check this: http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/StarCraft_storyline

I personally like it. It is the only way I know of (besides Steam Achievements) where you can link your Achievements in a PC game to an online account (aka XBL). I am quite happy with this; plus the fact that I am always connected to the internet means I don't really care about any online requirements. In this day and age most people are always connected; and if in the case of some problem with your ISP - you should be able to wait until it is fixed. If not, you should check yourself.

Okay, I've spent many a time looking for an MMORPG and tried many MMORPGs but I have yet to find one that can match Ragnarok Online.
Now, I am not trying to say that Ragnarok Online is the best MMORPG of all time, just that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and that after google failed me, I thought I might get lucky asking you guys whether you know of any MMORPGs similar or even better than Ragnarok Online.

In particular, RO was great for its WoE (War of Emperium) that was basically about fighting against other guilds to secure castles that you traversed through. There were alliances/etc. Extremely fun, especially with WoE 2.0 and the barrier system.
I also greatly enjoyed the fact that there were so many cl4sses. You had your 1st cl4ssess and alts: Mage, Merchant, Swordsman, Thief, Archer, Gunslinger, Ninja, Taekwon; then you had 2nd cl4sses: Wizard, Sage, Blacksmith, Alchemist, Knight, Paladin, Hunter, Dancer, Bard, Rogue, Assassin/etc/etc; and then even more with trascendant cl4sses, and even more with 3rd cl4sses.
So, it was amazing, with so many cl4sses, so many different skill sets; made PvP and overall everything very exciting and of course quite party-based/guild-based due to the fact that everybody had multiple roles they could play depending on their cl4ss and what skills they chose/etc.

Now, I've tried multiple MMORPGs since then. There's been a heavy focus on 3D, but unfortunately I found most of them all too similar (probably based on WoW, although I've never played that); all with mounts and other things that just didn't connect with me. I just didn't feel like I was part of the world, or that I belonged to any of these MMORPGs. There were factions in many of them, but you didn't really connect with your faction anyway because you can't read what the other factions say - or at least that was the case for many MMORPGs.

tl;dr - Know of any MMORPGs like Ragnarok Online? They don't have to be 2D-isometric, but what I'm getting at is are there any with the same feel, the same sort of guild/party connections; the same mass guild vs guild vying for territory/siege warfare? Are there any with a multitude of cl4sses and skill sets to choose from?
