4 or 5 years at least, but not 10 for any of them. There will be a new one out in a couple years and slowly software will shift from old to new. That's why it's called a cycle. It repeats. Sony was crazy for awhile, but the leaders have changed and I think they're trying to right their wrongs. Microsoft needs to not worry about being first and just worry about quality and making good decisions. In two or three years I'd be willing to buy a new console, but definitely not less than two and I think anything over three years would be a little long. From now that is.
I've played through the first game many times and it's great. I'm probably 3/4 through Bloodshot and it's great so far. IMO it's better than the first game and that game was a blast, so that's saying something.
I'll probably buy it on 360. My friends play 360 more than anything, so it's smarter for us all to get the 360 version and play online together when we want.
Okami is great, better than some Zelda games (more recent iterations). I played through the PS2 version, but will probably buy the Wii version to play it again.
I'm 18, 19 in May... away at college, but I'm transferring and probably getting an apartment with a couple friends "next year". My parents are great and have a nice house, so I could probably live with them until my late 20's and it would be great, but I feel like moving out around 19 will help me grow up. I suggest moving out and trying what you can on your own at 18-22 to gain the skills you'll need.

So if a 360 or PS3 game isn't graphically up to par, but everything else is great including the most important aspect of any game, gameplay, should a point be deducted from its score? I don't necessarily think so. I don't agree with forced waggle, if they think GC controls are best, then that's that. Who cares.
I wish everything would go digital distribution, and what? Blu Ray is no different from DVD other than the quality and size.
By the time Blu Ray is the norm, there will probably be 3-4 TB hardrives standard with 2000kb/s standard internet.
Disks are a waste of resources.... waste of space aswell.

All of these things depend on the devs. A PS1 game can be made on a blu-ray disc. The disc itself is nothing. It's more space which allows for HD. 3-4TB harddrives standard and standard 2000kb/s standard internet are way better because that means shelfspace for other things that have more of a place in the store.
