@mogan: Of course, but it seems incredibly strange to me, at least. CDPR is very keen on the company's perception by fans, and uses that as a catalyst when making any decision. It would be ill-advised to compare anything CDPR does to industry norms.
I would be less surprised if it was pushed back so far to serve as a centerpiece at this year's E3, to cover for the lack of Sony.
CDPR at first: Releases? When it's ready. Also CDPR: April guys, it's coming in April. That's when it'll be ready. Also, also CDPR: Our bad, it won't be ready for 5 months after.
I know a lot of folks see this as "good" as the game would be more polished, and sure, it will be. But as the game I've been most looking forward to for the last few years, the delay just brings up the question "why start marketing if you aren't even close."
It's not as bad as the announce for ES6, but still really irksome.
@DebutWest: Gamespot isn't reputable anymore. Every once in awhile they like to throw their pedigree of "all the games we've reviewed as a 10" and... yeah....
