@focus0894 Just to make it clear, only your shield will regenerate over time. You'll still need to find kits to refill your health bar after taking damage.
@Livefantasy7 @carolynmichelle @Kenshin0011 A great game is great regardless of how much it costs, which platform it appears on or the way it's delivered to players.
I think it's unfair to assume arcade game developers aren't putting in the same time and effort as the teams making retail games. If anything, because of the escalating cost and time required to make successful retail games, we're already seeing far fewer games made each year. If all the development efforts were going into making the next Uncharted, Mario or Halo to put on a disc, we'd probably never have experienced amazing games like Journey, The Walking Dead, Minecraft or Hotline Miami.
@BravoOneActual I like a lot of different types of experiences. This wasn't about consistency or grouping subject matter. It was a list of the games I enjoyed playing most. As I said at the beginning, many of them are there because they tried something different.
@Hurvl As you can probably tell from my list, I like a bit of variety in my play.
Journey doesn't really fit into any of the established game types. It has platforming - but it's not difficult; it doesn't ram story down your throat at every turn, and it isn't about solving puzzles. Its strength is in stripping back a lot of the expectations and roadblocks put in front of players in modern games, and challenging how we approach interaction with others.
You'll make up your own mind on how you feel about it at the end (if you play it) but it's absolutely worth experiencing. I'd hate for anybody who loves games to miss out on it simply because it's not something they'd normally play.
And we're back! Things may take a couple of minutes to catch up, but the video should be working fine now. Let us know if you're still having trouble viewing it.
