@Mescudi12 @CheckeredPecker What are you rambling on about?? I simply stated Sony isn't scared bc they are in the better position and that they actually have the opportunity to pull off a cunningly effective strategic business move. ...one that would really affect mainstream perception of the Xbox One and the company of Microsoft. What the hell are you getting all bent out of shape for? And where did I "whine" or "cry"?? It was a simple statement of logistics.

If that matter-of-fact post got you that riled you up that you lost your cool and resorted to the insults of a ten year old, then you know I'm right. Sony isn't "scared" of a company they're leading IMMENSELY, that had to back-pedal on all of their policies *just* so they could compete, was forced to back out of 8 countries for launch pissing off a major developer in the process... etc. Your reason? "Just because you think it doesn't make it true". No, I'm basing my statements on the obvious REALITIES.

Seriously? They have no motive or reason for being scared or nervous. The notion is ridiculous and the fantasy of the deluded. What that Sony guy did is called an INSULT plain and simple, which... (if you had basic comprehension skills you would know I actually criticized and implied that it wasn't particularly the best business move). This ties in to the basic psychology that was OBVIOUS when Sony BOLDLY stated the PS4 was *THE* most powerful console.

...but I don't expect you to notice something like that when you couldn't even comprehend what I previously wrote, and then proceeded to throw your childish fit. Grow up. Learn to think, not just react and parrot the words of children.

@jose2390 The factors of Sony *needing* to win (for future survival & profitability) and MS desperately trying to become relevant again (with money to burn) sets things up pretty nice for gamers at the moment. Both sides are HIGHLY invested and doing the absolute best they can manage at the moment. The competition couldn't possibly be any more fierce ;) Enjoy what it brings! (I'm hoping a decent-again Halo so I will actually want to buy an Xbox One)

@WelBluVid @ahpuck Hella nervous? (as a side note I can't take anyone using "hella" seriously) If I were a competitor I'd be licking my chops. Highlight Microsoft's anti-consumer policy attempt in the mainstream news come console-launch, as the reason for the vast lead in pre-orders & sales and see who gets "dirty" then. Brand that into the mind of the average consumer and inform them of something they're probably completely unaware of having transpired (of course do it with class). At this rate, I doubt they'll keep mum when interviewed on the matter of their already apparent success at a later date. Pfft... "nervous"... you're funny...

So I disagree Jess, there is sense. Maybe not at that moment but absolutely at a more opportune time. That was just... less than ideal... execution.

The wisdom in a fight is you have to know when to hold back and when the time is right, how to give "just enough".

@blackace Personally, the added online multiplayer fee really got me to actually look at PSN+ (never paid attention to it prior, too busy enjoying "free") and I quickly realized all I had missed out on because I was too busy with XBL and getting 20 MS pts for my b-day. Now I'm excited about getting Outlast (LOVE horror games) and Secret Ponchos for free. I ALREADY wanted those games! And all of the other games I'll be getting??? Did me a favor actually.

And the tv thing is just an addition. It's not like they *reversed* anything. That's really what the point of contention is, not just "changes" per se.

And you want to talk about copying?? I'd rather deal with Sony's copying than have my favorite game raped because orders came from the top to blatantly copy Call of Duty. WAY weaker than anything Sony did.

@uglypinkmoose @CheckeredPecker If by "wot" you meant "way off topic" then I call foul. I thought you'd make the connection that I was highlighting their missteps with their "fans" extend much farther than simply the hardware debacle. I figured I wouldn't have to spell it out specifically, but if I have to...

Halo 4 is another (preceding the XBone debacle) example of Microsoft's INCREDIBLE incompetency for knowing how to gather the proper talent and build a product with the intangibles people desire. Stubbornly pursuing Kinect is another (you'll see). You have to consider VERY fine details when building every aspect of these things pertaining to video games. Trust me, there's a double-edge that no one is considering with the XB1, one MS and their fans will be experiencing shortly after launch depending on developer competency (which is evidently lacking far too often).

Winning back the fans only happens when you know what you're doing. I was and again am, expressing my enormous lack of faith in Microsoft's competency to do so effectively (on topic).

@uglypinkmoose I was on Xbox bc of Halo, but Microsoft lost my trust then as well. 343 doesn't have the competency or creative chops yet *that* team was assembled and handed a blank check!? When they made THAT horrendously designed story and gameplay mess plus I could see Mammoth + Mantis design + giant brute concept art would equal GIANT in Halo 5... and then sure enough: the Halo 5 reveal trailer. Ugh. >:(! And the missing content??! It was just such a cash-grab.

All this other hardware policy mess of theirs was just pouring cement on the "Xbox-fan" grave for me. Just my 2 cents. For a lot of people it goes A LOT further than just the policy crap.

EDIT: Can't wait to see if they 180 on that now (Halo) considering the <25K peak population currently and even pros like Gandhi jumping ship now... But yeah, they infuriated me *twice*.

@sgt_F79 Geez that was hilarious. I like how even that one car conveniently rammed him at the end and contributed to gaining some momentum to grab 3rd place.
