I think it's going to be interesting if Gears 3 ends up having better overall graphics compared to Uncharted 2. Especially when it comes down to gameplay Gears 3 IMO just looks better.

We'll see when both games come out but I'm going to have to say Geow 3 has better graphics. The beta was pretty damn fun and good looking as well. A lot cleaner than previous Gears which didn't look too shabby in the first. Much more color too which was refreshing, made it feel new.

What if the Xbox 360 goes down in history as having better graphics than PS3? For system wars that's pretty huge. The 360 has good hardward for a 2005 console, and gears 3 is definitely the best looking game on the system.

[QUOTE="skrat_01"]They've managed to practically character assassinate Dook and botch the gameplay, so sales will be everything in consideration. Quite frankly I'd like to see a Duke Nukem game that ignores Forever entirely and has Duke as an out of place action hero from the 90s, in a more modern setting - where he's completely rejected - he's a joke a likeable one though, not a leering douchebag. Then aliens attack etc. and Duke's 90s action sensibilities and game mechanics kick in and he kicks ass in his circle strafing running about glory, winning the admiration of everyone. There you go, potential for a good Duke Nukem game and ways to poke fun at modern games without compromising into them mechanically. skrat_01

That would be awesome. Have all these wimps try to save the world from aliens and then duke comes in to show them how it's done.

Exactly.

Picture it, Duke walking out in front of a variety of aliens as a bunch of grey space marines fighting them (riffing on Gears, Mass Effect etc.) cower behind a waist high wall. "You don't kick ass by hiding like a p****"

Cue Duke pulling a rocket launcher out of his pocket - exclamations from NPCs then the running around alien bloodbath. How I want this game.

I think you nailed it with making fun of other modern shooters like Gears with the cover system. You could even poke fun of Gordon Freeman this "skinny wimpy scientist" on the front lines doing everything by himself and then gets killed anticlimactically by getting squashed to goop by a big ass alien.

According to what? Because I know for a fact that the 360 cannot do 1080p natively. It upscales to it from 720p, and there's a huge difference.

well its not a comfirmed list, i got it from a forum. and i wasnt ment to put "with 1080p" it should of been
"not sure if they run with 1080p"

360 can do 1080p natively. For petes sake my computer from 1997 with a friggen Voodoo Banshee could do 1920 x 1200. Resolution means nothing really if you're not pushing the polygons and AA. A game can be 1080p and still look like crap.

I remember making these mistakes as a teenager...

Forgot to put Risers on the motherboard.

Didn't push ram in all the way.

Didn't push graphics card all the way.

Mounted fans in the wrong direction that I wanted airflow to travel.

Butchered a plastic PC case trying to cut out a square for a 120mm front fan (the PC case was so cheap it didn't come with a front mounted fan hole).

Had watercooling but didn't monitor water level enough. The water levels got low and my pc started overheating.

Yeah I made a lot of mistakes when I was young. I've learned a lot from them now though lol.

It's impressive that a 7800gt can get it to 30fps in the first place, what's your point? It's a pc lead game, go play it on pc if you want 60fps, they weren't willing to sacrifice all the graphics/physics to get it upto 60fps.Inconsistancy
It amazes me that some console gamers don't realize their off the shelf GPU's from 5-6 years ago can't keep up with PC graphics cards of 2011. The ps3 is basically a damn 7800gt, that's ancient tech!

My Palm Pre has an unlimited data plan for $10... tether works great. This old phone can still hang with the best of them. I have mine overclocked to 1ghz. Runs snappy.

From what I saw it looked better then BC2.

-RocBoys9489-

Agreed. BC2 looks nothing like BF3.

I just played the Atacama Desert level in BC2 singleplayer, BF3 honestly looks worst imo

BF3 PC > BC2 PC > BF3 Consoles > BC2 Consoles.

Graphics wise anyways.

Just watch. Sony will give the PSVita the same capabilities as the Wii U. It wouldn't be very hard to do. I believe the PSVita has all the hardware and more to do it. It would be a smart move for Sony to copy Nintendo on this one.

[QUOTE="mitu123"] 1600x900 at the minimum, my max is 1920x1080.ducati101

I will be gaming at 1920x1080. Anything lower than that looks a lot muddier so I like to have it looking as crisp as I can make it

Hopefully at 2560x1600 (1600p?) on the 30inch Dell monitor :)

I would cream my pants seeing BF3 at 1600p in full glory. I think I would be too distracted to even play the game.
