Battlefield 3 (ONLY 30 FPS ON CONSOLES!!!!!!!!!)

Downgrading the graphics is one thing but hindering the performance is another. Another reason why battlefield 3 has no chance against mw3 this fall.Call of duty is a console shooter and BF3 is not. Well.... that's unfortunate.... still looks better than MW3 so far.

Tell me would you play sesame street if it ran 120 FPS? I'd also like to add that a very high percentage of console games are around 30FPS.

EDIT: and i havnt seen a game with destruction that hasnt ran at 30fps on xbox/ps3. im pretty sure its imposible with 2006 tech

30FPS is normal for most console games.

All i read was "hurr durrr durrr call of the duty is at 60 fps meaning its betterz!!!" Well ask yourself this. Does MW3 have giant open maps, does it have destructable environments including buildings, does it have vehicles, is it rendered at 1280x720, and most importantly does it have dedicated servers. Thats what I thought.

2. Anyone who thinks that Call of Duty maintains a consistent 60 FPS on consoles is out of their damn mind. The games looks like crap on consoles and they are sud-HD (which doesn't matter, but they are) to get close to 60 FPS.

3. Consoles struggle with 720p. 1080p is out of the question this gen. You can count the number of console games that run at 1080p and a consistent 60 FPS on two hands.

You'd think this would be obvious by now, but I guess not.

Battlefield at 10 fps > any cod at 120 fps for me anyday

You always was on the MW3 train by the sounds of it.

Halo games run at 30 FPS and they are miles better than all these crappy rehashed CoD crap.

30 FPS is perfectly fine on consoles unless we are talking about a hack n slash or fighting game.

Only hardcore hermits and CoD fanboys would find one game inferior to another solely because one runs at 30 FPS.

it's an old argument CoD fanboys used to claim their games were somehow superior to the actually good Halo 3. It got resurected last year when Reach was coming out. Now we see it again against BF3.

It's impressive that a 7800gt can get it to 30fps in the first place, what's your point? It's a pc lead game, go play it on pc if you want 60fps, they weren't willing to sacrifice all the graphics/physics to get it upto 60fps.Inconsistancy

I THINK Wipeout HD is. But cmon that game doesnt have much going on...

Did you somehow think that from Bad Company 2 to Battlefield 3 they would magically make manage to go from 30 to 60.

here's a real list of games that run in native 1080p on the consoles, from the beyond 3d forum.

there's only one or 2 retail titles that run native 1080p on the consoles, and they're bad games :P virtua tennis 3 and sacred 2.

quite a few psn and xbla games run in native 1080p though, at least 20.
