[QUOTE="DarkLink77"] No, it can't actually.

DarkLink77

It really can dude. :P the games that run at 1080p on the consoles are 2d games, and sports games with low detail.

here's a real list of games that run in native 1080p on the consoles, from the beyond 3d forum.

there's only one or 2 retail titles that run native 1080p on the consoles, and they're bad games :P virtua tennis 3 and sacred 2.

quite a few psn and xbla games run in native 1080p though, at least 20.

Upscaled 1080p and 1080p are not the same thing.

I know that. there are native 1080p games on the consoles, it's possible for them to output that res. when you boot up your ps3, the native res being displayed on the xmb is 1080p.

for some examples, super stardust HD and fat princess run in native 1080p.

Yeah, the PS3 can do it. The 360 cannot.

I for one am shocked! Well and truly shocked. I thought for sure this was the game to push my 5 year old hardware to the limit and deliver on dual 1080p, 4D and 120fps.

This sir has shocked me to my core,I don't know what i'll do ... Just go on living I guess.

Does BF even need 60 FPS.... I'm not an avid BF player but when I played BC2 on the 360 it played just fine for me. And obviously on the PC it looked much better but I never felt like the extra frame rate gave me any advatage, it was not really noticeable in the sense that the frame rate was any factor. I could be wrong here as I'm not a pro at the game or anything like that.

No, it can't. That's why the system has a thing in it that can upscale to 1080p, because it cannot do 1080p natively.

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]last i checked, console games, including CoD, run on 30fps :|Ilikemyname420
COD runs at 60fps (although it drops frames) but it's not surprising considering it largely looks like crap and it's sub-HD.

COD doesn't look that bad, unless you are comparing it to Battlefield 3?

hmm. you may actually be right, I only see one XBL title running native 1080p, and then that tennis game. if it could run 1080p, I think it should have more games on the list. maybe there are some mistakes on the list? :P

on the list the only titles that run at 1080p are boogie bunnies, virtua tennis and sacred 2. but for the ps3 there are like 20.

well its not a comfirmed list, i got it from a forum. and i wasnt ment to put "with 1080p" it should of been
"not sure if they run with 1080p"

DarkLink77

360 can do 1080p natively. For petes sake my computer from 1997 with a friggen Voodoo Banshee could do 1920 x 1200. Resolution means nothing really if you're not pushing the polygons and AA. A game can be 1080p and still look like crap.

No, it can't actually.

Actually, IT CAN

There are a few 1080p games on the 360: Fifa Street 3, Virtua Tennis 3 and Sacred 2: Fallen Angel to name a few.
