Talk about setting yourself up to fail.

I guess this comes as no surprise, seeing as how a successful battle royale game is where the moolah is these days. But I feel like we've been down this road before...

I own all three of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games and yet, there they sit, within arms reach on my shelf, STILL in the plastic I bought them in, mocking me...

And so it begins...er, continues...

@nsa_protocol44: Sure...but if these games were released on Steam from the get-go, lack of polish and DLC be damned, right? People already wait years for games to come out without adding another year to it for what, to me, seems like an empty reason.

I purchased Metro Exodus on the Epic Store and I have no regrets. I personally don't care through what storefront it's released, as long as I can get my games.

@fiesel: Personally I'm looking for a good story before gameplay, but not a "message" about "the times we live in" or some other B.S.

I've been anticipating this release but didn't expect all this Epic Games/Steam drama. I haven't pre-ordered, either, as a personal rule. I don't mind a less expensive game, but I don't think I want to wait a whole year to buy it. What to do, what to do...

The only Resident Evil game I have ever played was Resident Evil 2 for the Nintendo 64, even though I own Resident Evil 4 through Steam, I never got heavily involved in the series.

Maybe...NOW IS THE TIME...
