SWTOR just became another in a long line of free-to-play games that always left you wanting more than you got. They're always wanting you to buy something, and always reminding you about what you don't have, but could have if you start shelling out the cash. I'd rather pay a subscription.
They're playing the long-term here: take a big franchise from a big developer and put it into a position where it can continuously make money. You know there will be DLC's adding new things. I'm curious as to other types of (micro)transactions they may implement, like custom power armor skins or some such rubbish.
@juninhotorres: I'm inclined to agree--people saying the "game" looks awesome when we saw no game. Whatever they've done in the past is great and all, but what's been is not always what will be.
I'm not discounting them yet, but I do feel the praise is misplaced, or too early.
This should have been the first official debut of the game, not something shown six years ago. This trailer, as stated, didn't show off any gameplay and neither did the first one from over half a decade ago...it was basically a glorified "yes, this still exists" trailer. I don't feel we learned anything new, we were just reminded of what we already knew.
