rather play it some than not at all...and im getting deployed overseas. so a few days of video games compared to months of bullets flying passed you for real is a blessing.;)

Well after a few hours of RO1, I feel like I will pre-order RO2, even though I am one of the worst players I've ever seen in an online game...

Died 500 times, killed 2 people.

Might get used to it eventually :lol:

yea i feel ya man...i felt like one of the worst players in the world when i first started. felt really crappy seeing as though i kick but at BF games. But once you get the hang of it, seeing the enemies drop from your bullets is rewarding. And sometimes you get into a grove where you are capping people left and right and you really do feel like a god, not some COD super soldier. Doesnt happen very often for me but when it does WOOOOO!!!

Good for you! Give it a chance, it took me a couple of days. There are only a handful of servers, but it is still easy to find a game. Darkest Hour is also fun as well. I am usually on the WIld Bunch server for RO.

I bought RO1 just for the same reasons mayn people have said in this thread. And they are right, the trailers are very decieving. I had no idead I had to press the shoot button again to reload my bolt action rifle. To tell you the truth I HATED RO1 when I bought it. But thats because I could not hit anybody and it was so much different to play. But now that I have gotten better, it is an experience you will not find in any other game! There is nothing like being an MG and mowing down a group of Nazis running through a corridor that have no idea you are there. You will be taking cover a lot and have your head in the mud, but there is nothing like a 50 player server with arty going off.

And let me tell you.....when you kill someone IT IS SO REWARDING! It took me foreve to with a bolt action, but I got 2 and bayonetted someone and I freaked out! It was awesome. It will take some time getting used to the game, but if you are willing to learn the ropes you should have a blast. Just know though, like other people have said, it is not like COD or Battlefield at all.

well it could be the game...but i really dont think so unless it is a corrupt file problem. There are only two options to tweak for sound in TW2. However, try messing around in your control panel for your sound card. What card are you using. Sometimes....for no reason at all my settings change, I think it usually happens when I update drivers or something. For instance...I only have 2 speakers and a sub. When my settings for my sound card get switched to lets say surround sound, a lot of the sounds in games, especially sounds that are supposed to play through the rear speakers (I have none) sound very faint. If an explosion happens behind me, I wont hear it. But when I switch it back to two speaker stereo, everythings cool.

other than that, all i can say is make sure you have the most updated drivers. You already re installed the game so I wouldnt suggest that again. hope you fix it.

the witcher 2 is good, but there is so much plot it is rediculous! I have played the first, it was a while ago, and I am on chapter 2 in the Witcher 2 and have no idea what is going on. The main story is easy to follow, but there are things that stray from the main story that you need to complete in order to move forward with the story. It has so much going on, so much characters, so many names, and way to much politics for me to follow! I love the way it plays, combat is fluid and fun, graphics are pretty decent, but it makes it a chore to play for me since I cant follow the story.
