Fantastic game, well worth a play around. Value for money.... 100s of hours of game play for a pittance of the price of your normal fps like COD or MOH (that only give you 5 hours of game play) and with a social network as well. As it is only the release of the game I strongly believe in time they will make it even better.

EDIT: For all you fps fanboys that are gonna get their knickers in a knot over the 4 - 5 hour gameplay comment, I am referring to the SINGLE PLAYER STORY, if you do not wish to play WITH anyone and just enjoy the missions and game itself as the story there is 100s of hours in Defiance where as in COD and MOH most titles the single player is done in 4 - 5 hours.

Possibly the worst game in the series. I will not be aquiring another RE game unless they give it away for free.

I give this game a solid 6 and thats being generous, it should have been called "Doorman" cause that's all you end up doing in the game, trying to get from door "a" to door "b", very disapointing. Very linear and not being able to save progress during long winded sequences makes the game frustrating and annoying. Blood Money is still the best Hitman. This game is a steaming pile of....

Soooo.... this will be a single player version of Eve Online then? I wish the Devs luck, if it's an MMO they will have a hell of a lot of work to do to compete with Eve, if it's a single player game I believe it will do very well if they can match or out do the combat mechanics in Eve. Either way, I look forward to seeing the progress and have my fingers crossed it's a single player game.

An informative read, thanks Kevin. Although this helps me personally come to grips with the obvious hard work and love that is put into creating these games, it still begs me to ask the question "Why do some of these companies still release the games unfinished?" What I mean by that question is simply why, if they have already spent years creating the games don't they spend the extra few months and finish it before handing over the typical bug filled mess? Would it really hurt them so much financially to hold off or push back that release date to give us gamers the game that they intended for us to play? I realize they have deadlines and debts that only the billions in revenue from sales is going satisfy but, is it really that hard to hand over the finished product?

The general opinion for the average gamer when a new game is released is "it'll be great in a few months when the bugs are worked out" or "yeah, great game a few bugs but that has to be expected from a new game". When did it become ok for us to buy unfinished products? Would you buy a TV or a Phone or anything that you knew was faulty? Would you really pay full price for something that you knew wasn't exactly what you ordered? Who is to blame for this way of thinking? Is it we the consumer that have given these companies the right to hand over these unfinished products by purchasing them without argument or is it the companies that sell the games incomplete and expect that we the consumer should just deal with whatever issues arise, or is it that we are both to blame? Whatever the reason and wherever the blame lies, I find it sad that we pay so much and expect so little. We wouldn't allow it to happen in any other aspect of our lives and yet it is commonplace here in the world of gaming.

@reBOOT2099

We each have different experiences, I never said the game was bad, I am just trying to inform people. There are those of us who feel the bugs hindered our enjoyment, and there are those like you who believe otherwise. Neither is right or wrong, the best thing I can do is give valid factual information based on my experiences. Just Saying... :)

For would be buyers for the game, please refer to this link prior to spending money, some will buy it regardless while I might save others some grief.

@shinji605 @saluk

You are an obvious fan boy/girl, so let me spell it out for you in a language you will understand.

You can't argue with the evidence, the game is the most bugged MMO I have ever played. If you have not experienced these bugs then either you only play the game for PvP, which there are very few bugs OR, you are truly blinded by your fan boy/girl love.

You have your opinion, although not at all backed up by any fact or reason, and I have mine which I can back up with the thousand odd pages of bug reports. Just something to consider.

Looking forward to Blizzard being taken down a few notches, they created the horror they named Diablo 3 (a massive fail in my opinion). They destroyed WoW and turned it into a game suited for 10 year olds. I will enjoy seeing other better companies rise up and take their rightful places at the top of the ladder and leave the failure that is Blizz to dwell in it's misery.

@melkathi

Well, if you want to know the issues it only takes a quick glance at the bugs section in the guild wars 2 forum, a lot players have been nice enough to report the issues they come across and have developed an insane amount of bug reports. I have also placed several reports on there myself, but grew tired of reporting them after about 100 or so. You are right, different player experience different bugs or lack thereof. However, it is the way that people play that limits or amplifies their bug experience. I played the game from 1 - 80 in the PvE environment on my first toon with no crafting or PvP. I did not go back to lower levels, I pushed forward the whole time, this is how I experienced the unbalanced leveling, and is also why I had to delve into other races areas to continue upward and onward.

I consider the warning I give other players valid as I am writing these opinions from my experiences in the game, if I feel this way about the game then other people do to, it is a matter of fact. I have not placed a review on the game as many others have before they even finish it, saying the game is great and awesome before they even leave the starting map is plain stupid. I am just bringing a little reality back into the reply panel, I never said the game is bad, I am merely suggesting it has many issues yet to be resolved and would be buyers for the game might want to do their homework prior to just taking fan boy/girls opinions for it.
