What kind of question is this???

Aren't you just asking a question that is based solely on opinion? What is the point?

If you said something that was more with proof, like what has a bigger world, has better graphics, or something it may make more sense.. But just asking what's better is totally based on opinion.

I honestly love Oblivion... But I also love Kingdom Hearts for PS2, and World of Warcraft. Morrowind was cool, but I liked Oblivion more for whatever reason. Diablo 2 was fun for awhile...

People are saying you can't say what's better between different strategy, FPS, or RPG's because they are different games, but that is bull crap. You can say anything is better, since "better" is comparable only to your own opinion about how much fun you had with a game.

I wouldn't say they are better... But Half-Life: The Orange Box is an excellent compilation of games, along with Enemy Territory, Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and F.E.A.R. are all excellent FPS.

Honestly, it's all about what you have more fun with. I don't really like to personally pick favorites, I just have a lot of fun. If you want a huge world of explore, great gameplay, tons of stuff to do, quests, and some story to boot, then Oblivion for the PC is a great choice, especially with all of the mods out there for it.

If you want an RPG filled with an amazing story like a final fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game, then you may want to look elseware, maybe into Knights of the Old Republic or something if you want an older game.

Age of Empires 3, Supreme Commander, World in Conflict, and Command and Conquer are all excellent Strategy games.

Also, Hellgate London is coming out, which looks really cool for an action rpg... So you may want to check that out.
This is so stupid. Yes please bring it back and get off the forums. I am enjoying it so i am gonna go bring it back because it might break. You do that. This is either fake or you are retarted. Isnt there a chance everything can break? So I guess ill just go return everything because it might break in the future.[/QUOTE

There's a difference between something MIGHT breaking in the future... And the mass majority of people who own it complaining of problems because it is poorly built. I have built my own PC's with incredible power.... And I trust all of them, and have no problems with them. The fact that you can't trust something a COMPUTER MANUFACTURER makes is completely rediculous. They should be able to make enough insulation and understand what it takes to keep power cooled.

That's not exactly a reason to get rid of something... But at the moment, since mine is messed up, my charging cable is broken, and both of my controllers are messed up, I am unsure if Microsoft even understands how to build hardware at all... Or do they just throw in a bunch of cheap hardware together in order to make a quick buck?

If he likes the exclusives more so then any other system, then he should keep it... But that in no way makes him retarded just because he doesn't want to have to deal with the retarded installation Microsoft uses. There is no reason why Microsoft did not understand why that was going to overheat. I'm not a professional and right when I opened it up the first time I realized how horrible it's built.

He should just do what he wants based on the different games, hardware abilities, and console capabilities.

Well this is all up to you really... Take in mind the new Xbox 360's are built slightly differently, with slightly better parts then the older ones, so have a MUCH less chance of power failure do to overheating.

Second, a lot of people are basically saying it's okay that this stuff happens, which it isn't. Just accepting the fact that over half of people who get something like this have to fix it at one time or another is obsurd. Have you ever looked inside of a 360? I build computers and that is the worst engineering job I have ever seen. Of course it overheats, it's built like a 10 year old kid made it. Microsoft didn't use any common sense with it, and used cheaper then normal parts.

If you want to go the safest rout, the PS3 barely has EVER had any problems for anyone, and when it did, it took a lot longer for it to be fixed. I am in no way trying to "fan boy" your way to a PS3, since I don't even own one, but want to someday.

Remember, a lot of people are saying Xbox 360 is having a lot of good games coming out, but so does the PS3.

Recently my Xbox 360 broke after ALMOST 2 years of owning it... And it was a sad day, especially since I already opened it before after the warrenty expired (but then they extended the warrenty). So I cracked it open, fixed the problem, but it back together... And it was working fine... But then my charging cable stopping working, one of my controllers quit working all together, and the other one stopped charging. I found out that the charging cables pins bent, which messed up my controllers when I plugged them in, now I'm going to have to crack open my controllers. Then my 360 quit working again, which means I'm going to have to crack it back open and install a PC fan or something into it so it stops overheating. I'm really close to just saying forget it, because it's not worth all the hassle. The main game I play on the 360 alone is Halo anyways...

Basically, I really hope you make the right decision. Just take in mind the newer ones have slightly better parts and are build a little differently... Take in mind the PS3 has had almost no problems, and someone I know that did got it back in 2 weeks tops after he sent it in.

Most of the games you can get on the Xbox 360 are on the PS3... Well, not all of them, but a lot. It's just up to you. Since you do have a warrenty, it wouldn't hurt to risk it, but it's just up to you. But anyone who sits here and says "Well it's fine since you havea warrenty..." Is a drug addict. That's just accepting companies inability to build simple machines. The xbox 360 isn't insulated at all, there are barely any fans inside of the case, just vents, the heat pipe is over the top of the cpu, and everything that creates heat is basically right next to each other. It's a terrible mess, and there's no excuse for Microsoft to make or accept anything like that.

If you want it for the Microsoft exclusive games, just keep it. But no one can tell you which system to get. That's up to you and what games you want to play.

Well, both have their goods and bads... I'm a casual fan aswell, but I like both of them.

Forza is a deep sim with a lot of car buying, racing, making money, upgrading, and then doing it again until you pretty much get all of the cars, and beat every race and unlock everything.

DiRT in my opinion drives better, has better physics, and looks better, but it doesn't have the custom options that are in forza. That is not necessarily a bad thing based on what kind of a racer it is... A rally racer.

If you are strictly a burnout fan, I don't think I can truly reccommend Forza, since it's sense of speed has never really been there... But then again, it is a driving game... And more about the handles and the cars.

So, if your going to make a choice, make one based on what kind of game you really want. If you haven't played the demo for DiRT yet, check it out.

They also have the demo for forza 2, but I don't really think it appropriately show's the game that well.

A slight auto-aim is almost necessary for an online shooter of any kind. I am not talking about overdoing it like in halo... But in order for things like... In halo, a sniper rifle, to work properly, you have to have auto aim.

You will always have those people running a crappy connection, and someone running a T1 or something. If there was no auto aim, the better connection would ALWAYS win, due to seeing their movements faster. Having an autoaim helps keep things balanced between connections, especially with a controller which is slower to move and harder to aim then something like a mouse.

There should be at least a SLIGHT bit of auto aim, otherwise it would be nearly impossible to kill someone, especially if your connection kind of sucks.

I don't agree with a lot of auto aim, and that is one of the many bugs and weird things that plague Halo 2... But every console shooter needs at least a little bit of auto-aim.

This is exactly the example of people who are not happy no matter what...

Sony is losing about $300 or so dollars PER SYSTEM already. They are losing money on every single system they sell, and even more on everyone they arent.

The system doesn't crash, is quiet, is the most powerful system, has a blu-ray drive, has free playstation 3 network, is a multi media device, a home entertainment system, and a great system.

It's pretty much the cheapest blu-ray player (and it's a pretty good blu-ray player at that)... And it's WAY more then just a blu-ray player.

Yes, sales would go go up if there was a price cut... But people can't just be happy that it's already too cheap for it's own good.

It's more powerful, has more to offer, runs better, and has a blu ray player... And the 360 Elite is almost $500... Just $100 cheaper. And the only thing the elite has over the PS3 is the 120 GB hard drive.

I can see what you are saying... And that most people are not going to pay that much for a video game... But it is more then a video game, and I wish most people would realize this.

Well it also depends on how this toaster is "Terrible"... If a toaster costs $5 and isn't very good compared to a $30, then that is a good comparison. He said nothing of why it was terrible, if it was cheaper then others, or not. All electronic devices have crappier, lower end models. I know for a fact Westinghouse makes TV's that are lower end, and crappy aswell... But what do you expect when you pay $50 for a tv?

It's all about quality for the price, not quality period. You cannot expect a TV to be better at $800 then a TV at $4000... Same with you cannot expect a $20 toaster to be better then a $70 toaster.

There is a reason why there is a price difference.

Now, lets just say the toaster was comparibly priced with higher end toasters, and it sucked compared to them... Okay... But remember... The point is not that the toaster is less complex and doesnt work well... so therefor westinghouse cannot make a good tv.

The point is, they made a bad toaster... And maybe they have learned from that experience and made a better one over time?

Like he said, he's had the same toaster for awhile....

My god... We are actually debating over a toaster.... :P

i have a westinghouse microwave for sometime, and it's TERRIBLE. i definetly won't buy a westinghousse TV. sony probably makes THE best tv's. (or samsung).endocryn

Thats like saying I had a sony walkman and hated it. i could never buy a Sony TV. They are relatively mutually exclusive products with different product teams and R and D that share the Sony/Westinghouse name. The bottom line is the westy is hawt for its price/performance ratio and I don't even have the TV.

.....back to the point of his qoute basing his experience with the poor performance of the westing house microwave, he will not by a westing house T.V due to the fact that, the company can not make a microwave correctly then how can they make a more complex piece of electronics i.e HDTV. I fthe compnay can't hire capable people to make microwaves, how can they hire people to make HDTVs
but there not cheaters they just dont pay for there gamesboomshakalaka88

dude they are cheaters. They make take a game and make a copy of it on their 360 harddrive. When its on they can change the files of the game. Which lets them chainsaw everyone in gears when the match starts...ya thats cheating.

I think everyone is taking this the wrong way... Yes, they COULD cheat... But if you guys read up on the mod chips, and soft modding on xbox's, then you would know better to say that. The 360 only has limited mods... And the only thing it really has out, at least Publicly... Is to be able to play backed up games... Which is legal. It's illegal to pirate games you do not own, but there is no way to prove that they don't own it. Hackers are having a hard time with the 360 because of all the encoding and other things... So it's incredibly hard to change the files in the system. The only real thing they can do is make and play backed up games.

A lot of people are saying that once a console is banned, it's banned for good... But you do not know that. Hackers and other of the sorts can find ways around almost any security sector possible think of the psp, and how sony keeps updating it, but yet does no good). They may, or may not find a way to do it... But the homebrew community will definately try.

Not all modders or hackers are cheaters, or pirating theives. That's one thing to remember. Most of them do it for fun... Some do it because they want to make back ups for their games... Some figure out ways to change files in order to change games so they can have fun with them... Not so they can go on live and do that... Because once you do something like that, you are banned.

And whoever said that they wont keep buying new xbox's, and keep using their time to creating new ways to hack and mod... Then your wrong. Every single set of homebrew, mod, or anything else is tested on about 5-20 machine's (of any system)... So honestly and obviously, they have spent the money... And they will continue to do so.
