@endorbr The last Final Fantasy that stuck to the "old formula" you're referencing was XIII and you see how that turned out. That restricted, turned based style made sense with NES and even up to PS2. The best RPG's now don't use that archaic style of play because it isn't very intuitive and the extreme linear nature is equally bad.
Role Playing means you assume a role and it makes absolutely NO SENSE to imagine that you'd stand around and wait for your enemy to decide what to do (and vice versa).
Take a look at how many people prefer Dark Souls and Skyrim over Final Fantasy today.

@chucknorris86 @bunchanumbers I have to disagree (to an extent). There are many games that have high replay value so the owner will want it back and the borrower may have gotten hooked and would want their own (like I did with Modern Warfare 3).
But your post otherwise most certainly opened my eyes to a huge dilemma. If I were SONY or Microsoft, I would go with region coding and not sell consoles to countries that have high console purchases but very low software sales. That's a clear indication of piracy.

@Ceclor What they really mean is they want to eliminate ownership, just like they did with Microsoft Office. It went from buying and installing the software to being a subscription service. So once you're no longer paying the fee, you no longer have access. They want to do the same with your games in the long run. In essence, they want ownership to remain in the hands of the corporation and you only pay for use so long as your paying on a recurring basis.
I'm appalled by the very idea that someone came up with this.
@berserker66666 Demon's Souls: Man Eater and Flamelurker. Dark Souls: 4 Kings (New Game +++) , Artorias, and Manus. I've never defeated any of them without summoning an ally and even then I may need 2 people or multiple tries.
