Where did You get the disc ? any place special ?

GodLikeLee

You can get it at any retail store that sells blu ray. The package will contain 2 discs. The first disk is your blu ray movie and GOW3 demo. The other disc is 2 digital copies of the movie to put on your pc/mac or Ipod and a digital copy for your psp

I'm not sure, but try pulling the hard drive from the old system, and try it in the new one for de-activation and re-formating.

Also might wanna try going to playstation.com, access your account and see if you can de-activate it there.

This won't work. I have tried. The only way to deactivate an account from a broken system is to contact SONY. I have had to do this a few times. It is a simple process and SONY doesn't resist. The worst part is being on hold. Depending on what time you call, it should be a 15-30min process

INCORRECT! you do not have to have a wireless router to have your LAN work properly with the PS3.

True that. I just assumed they were having problems getting a wireless connection set up.

Ah, I see. My bad then. I misunderstood the point you were making.

can only use a credit card, not a debit cardOfficialBed

INCORRECT! You can use a debit card. Just treat it as a credit card.

Your debit card will have a "credit card label" i.e. mastercard or visa. your debit card will also have an expiration date and a 3-4 digit security number on the back. Those are all the main form fields you will nee. Oh and the name, but that should be obvious.

Well I will put as honest opinion on the system that I can.

When I first bought the system I was a little disapointed(I bought it at full price $599 USD for 80gig). It just felt like a flashy faster ps2. But the progress that SONY has made since then is very nice. They have been living up to thier word on functionality. It might not be as fast as everyone likes but it is still hapening. They recently made it so you can access the XMB(cross media bar)while playing music or surfing the web. This means that you can surf the web and listen to clean* music at the same time. So it is in the stars to access the XMB from games. This will lead to checking who is online while in a game, and the game that they are playing. Recieving and giving IM during games will aslo be capable. This is all for no charge I remind you.

Now on to games. I own EA's NBA homecourt, Rainbow Six: Vegas, and Ninja Gaiden: Sigma. I think Ninja Gaiden is a very good first-gen game for the PS3. Homecourt would have to get a "mleh". The game is real smooth and the player motions look really good, but I have never like many basketball games. All though the game does remind me of NBA JAM. And there hasn't been a good basketball game since then, IMHO. Rainbow Six would also get a "mleh". The game looks sharp(if you run it in 720p). But the game is still lacking something to distinguish it apart from other FPS when online. The constant open mics and bad support for blu-tooth doesn't help either.

After playing some games that use the SIXAXIS other than a novelty make if fun. In some games if almost feels like extra buttons. The game that I really enjoy SIXAXIS on isBLAST FACTOR.

I haven't had any problems from my PS3 either. I use it to charge up my iPOD all the time and fold a lot, so my system hardly shuts off. It really never seems to get to hot. Naturally the air blowing out of the ps3 is hot, but it never seems to make the case warm, so the air flow is good.

All in all, I feel it was worth the cash. With new content and firmware updates coming fairly often lately it makes it fun to tinker with the system.

EDIT: I am very excited about MGS4.

*clean refers to the sound clarity of the music, not lyrics.

What opinions would you want from us that couldn't be construed as bias?

[QUOTE="iMacBot"]I cover it with a microfiber cloth and clean it when it gets dusty... more powerful electronics attract more dust, same for computers...Theibault

I don't happen to see where power has anything to do with dust. Please indulge me.

Scientifically, it is well known that for ever 10 amps of power draw, 1000 dust particals are attracted by the Johanssen effect. This effect is greatly increased should the housing of said electronic product be made of plastic. The only way to decrease this is to coat the product with PAM cooking spray.

I see where it is at now. The amps would create a static electricity to draw the particles down. The plastic case would act as a conductor to the static and create a larger statically charged surface. Thank you for the clarification.

I just bouth a ps3, only problem is that I can't get the internet working. I read on other site where you would need a wireless

router. Can anyone check out netgear.com. The name of the product "netgear//w6r614. THANKS.

harrysacc

Not entirely sure what you are trying to ask or say for that matter.

Do you own that router or do you want us to tell you if it is compatible with the PS3?
