Wait for a new update, or install Linux and browse the web through there.

Of course once you use digital out you have to make sure that you have a reciever that will accept optical inputs.

2 questions.

1. Does The PS3 have custom backrounds like PSP?

2 Can u upload an image for you avatar?

The_Rick_14

1. Not yet, but it's been said its coming in a future firmware update.

2. No, but with Home coming where you can basically create yourself, that's gonna be much better than a picture.  However, you can upload a picture for your user, just not for your PSN.

You should correct your statement for the second answer.  You can have your own picture for your avitar.  Any picture you have on your HDD can be used as an avitar on the PS3 via the latest update.

Tough to say.  Looks more like the battle system from Spiderman2.  You could always wait for some reviews and user reviews to come out.  That will give you a better idea.

I labeled it as a start.  This way he gets an idea about what he is looking for.

during the install process for linux, you'll be prompted to choose whether or not to delegate 10 GB or 50 GB to linux (assuming you have a 60 GB PS3)... I suggest 10GB, as you'll want to save much more PS3 data than linux data.

After the install, it will boot to linux automatically, and during the boot process, you enter the command "boot-game-os" to return to the xmb.  Now everytime you start your PS3 it will go to the XMB, and you have to change to "Boot other OS" though XMB to go back to linux.

I intalled YellowDog linux about a month ago, and honestly haven't used it much.  There are no wireless drivers for it, so internet has to be wired, and the memory of the PS3 is not optimized for multitasking, so it tends to be a bit sluggish.  Firefox lacks a flash pluggin, and the one I tried downloading didn't work (doesn't mean it's not possible).  I'm not a very experienced linux user, so I don't know alot about commands or anything.  Hope this helps your decision.

Linux now offers WiFi for the ps3.

well more colour choice, damage as a maybe option as there are kids that enjoy these games my sister was about 9 when she played gt3 and loved it, downforce on cars with spoilers standard e.g. the evo rather than buying the need for speed carbon crap i hate that, complex string back and i want deep forest to remain infact all tracks remain, 24 hour race in b spec mode have a time 6 speed as gt4 melted my old ps2 lol

other than this keep it all the same fastgamer01

I know exactly what you ment about b-spec melting.  Aslo if when in a 24hr race in b-spec they should have the optiontion not to exit the timelaps speed when you enter the pit.  that would help a lot.
