@DiamondDM13 @Aut0cr0nix Trying too hard? Out of all the Dantes, DMC3's Dante was the character that they tried too hard on. Justify it all you want, due to his young age, but they overdid it with his character in that game. He was more annoying than likable. Out of all the Dantes written, the new one is more relatable as a character than any previous Dante. But I still prefer DMC1 Dante to any other.

People love to blame NT for the changes made in DmC, but they also forget that it was capcom who approached them, and asked them to reboot the series in the first place. NT actually tried to make Dante look closer to previous Dantes, but they were told to revise him and take him in a different, more creative direction. So if you don't like the new Dante, blame capcom, not NT.

As if Dante was consistently well written throughout the series? Lets review his progression.

DMC1: Dante is calm, cool, collected, sarcastic, and witty. A very fun and likable character.

DMC2: Dante is too serious. He rarely speaks, and when he does he represents little of his former self.

DMC3: They tried too hard to bring the old Dante back, and ended up overdoing it. Result, Dante now acts like a ninja turtle.

DMC4: Closer to DMC1 Dante, just a bit more toned down.

DmC: Dante retains much of his series trademark behavior. He is still witty, sarcastic, and confident. He's just pissed off too. And for good reason, he's been hunted by demons his whole life.

I don't see how he's mean-spirited. He is only standing up for himself against the demons who have wronged him, and hunted him. He stands up for humanity even though it's not his responsibility to, and he shows genuine concern for Kat and Vergil even though he'd just met them.

Forget about whether it's content that's already on the disc or downloadable through the online marketplace, that really doesn't matter. What matters is that if content for a game is ready so close to it's release, then it should of just been included in the game. DLC is supposed to be content released a decent amount of time after a games' initial release, as a means to breath life back into a game that you've fully completed. That's why I have a lot of respect for CD Projekt Red. A year later and they're still coming out with new content for The Witcher 2, and giving it out for free to people who already bought the game last year. Other companies need to watch them, and learn how to treat their consumers.

Monk! Male or female, doesn't matter.
