@2611mp You have to expect reviews to have their own opinion, but when agendas are pushed through and start to detract from the overall prowess of a game is when it becomes troublesome.
I don't care about the score. I play what I want but when political and now seemingly sexual agendas are being pushed through to reviews is when it becomes troublesome.
At the end of the day it is Ms. Petit's opinion to feel how she will about a game but to nail it on a specific point because the character is a man is polarizing.
Tomb raider it's fine for Lara to become an unstoppable killing machine in the context of survival.
The last of us Joel is a monster incapable of love because he's a killing machine in the context of survival.
Both these characters have one difference and it's their chromosomes. I wonder the day there won't be some sexist comment coming from the reviewer trying to start a brush fire in the toxic dump that is the internet.
In all seriousness I know I won't get an answer from @carolyn petit
But if Joel treats his fellow humans with the ability to easily dispose of them, how is Lara Croft not?
Lara croft in TR 2013- It's ok for her to become an unstoppable killing machine and seemingly capable of love for her fellow crew mates because she's a survivor killing hundreds to survive.
Joel in TLOU- is a fierce survivor incapable of feeling love because he kills hundreds to survive and to protect. Sure his motives at the end are questionable.
But both these characters are unstoppable killing machines.
What's the difference? I don't know..... Maybe it's because Joel's a man.
"I tried burning human effigies at bonfires to restore my humanity and get my health back, but it didn't seem to have any effect. And I really wanted to know when I'd learn to use the magic I'd bought from a merchant a while back."
And this is why a second take from a person who doesn't know the systems of the game is piss poor.
Question: Hey Kevin, how do you find navigating to be this time around? Dark souls did have a lot of hidden areas and areas that could not even be found on your first playthrough I.E. Painted World of Arimais or The Great Hollow. Are there still hidden areas such as these making the world seemingly intertwined or does majula act as more of a hub I.E. Demons Souls?
