@rawkstar007 Why would she? That's like saying a company stealing a picture and using it to make a profit without paying the photographer should be flattering. It's not, it's copyright infringement. Same thing goes for actors likenesses.

@lukasr1 It's not a matter of ego. She's an actor, her livelyhood is her likeness. Since she's in another video game coming out this year, the resemblances are way too uncanny to go unnoticed.

@Iemander That is her. I don't get it either. She doesn't look anything like Ellie.

@AggrandizedUser @ixmardukxi Ellie definitely looks much more like Ellen Page than she does Ashley Johnson.

I don't see any of this as a bad thing. The wacky nature of the first two was a hindrance, and so was the timer and degenerating weapons, imo. I'm actually glad they moved away from that and made an open world zombie apocalypse environment to freely explore without having to worry about time constantly.

@psuedospike Yes, and to that I say good riddance. Those companies are part of the reason why so many smaller gaming companies have had to close down in the past few years.

@Atragon @Ailith Brooms aren't resold on the same scale that games are, and brooms don't cost as much to make. Do you know how many companies had to close down this past year? The gaming industry isn't doing so great, and all I see are gamers whining about used games instead of worrying about all of the small companies we love closing down until were just "one nation under EA". That sounds fucking terrible. I'd rather give my money to those companies than Gamestop so that the gaming industry doesn't become run by only a few huge companies pumping out shitty games.

I don't see why this is such a bad thing. The only one suffering from this seems to be Gamestop, and who gives a **** about them. This way the publishers who actually made the game will get some money for the game they made so they don't have to go bankrupt. Wouldn't you rather pay to support the people who made the game instead of Gamestop?
