Half-Life.  I believe that is on the ps2.  I thought I saw that the other day at gamestop.  Anyways, I do not know about multiplayer experience on this one but the single player experience is great.

I personally like game cheating devices.  I like to exploit the games for what they are worth.  To see all the goodies the game designers put into their games.  Besides, with my limited time.  I like the easy ride through the games.  For me a good gaming experience is playing the game in all it's forms.  I was ruined by god mode and the such from the original PC Doom game.  Walking through walls is fun...

I was looking to get the ARMAX with the USB stick for code transfers.  Still a bit pricy for my liking.

I have the fat ps2, but the thing is.  I got it for free.  That is an easy choice.  Mine is a version 4 revision.  Before you buy I would suggest picking the version you want as each one handles games differently.  The some of the older ps2's cannot play the new games well or at all.  The new ps2 slimlines can play all the mediums.  However, on both the slimline and fat versions of the ps2.  There have been faults that break certain games.  So I would suggest looking for the most compatible revision model that fits your needs.  The old fat ps2's I think went through fourteen revisions and the new slimlines are on three or four revisions now.  Good luck!

It's really not hard to fix.  I googled for a ps2 disk read error faq and one came up that shows pictures of what to do.  Anyways, all you need to do is open the box up and get to the white gear on the dvd drive to adjust the laser lens mechanism.  I have a V4 ps2 so this was easy as pie.  Anyways, once you get to the white gear, mark the original spot with a felt tip pen.  Then turn the gear clockwise untill the laser lens mechanism drops to the bottom position.  From here you can adjust to the perfect spot, one click at a time.  For me it was easy.  All I had to do was return the laser lens mechanism to the original marked spot and all the formats worked again.  Also while you are in there, make shure to blow out all the dust and clean the laser lens.  The big problem for this error is the lens gets nocked out of position.  The same thing happens to the dreamcast.  In the dreamcast all you need to do is adjust the laser lens with a 1/4" turn of a screw.  As long as the lens on any of these machines is not too high, where it actually hits the medium.  So be shure to eye ball that and adjust accordingly.  Otherwise you'll scratch all the discs that you insert and reck the laser lens.
