Awesome show, it is something that has bothered me too. If I don't like the look of a game of sequel I just avoid the threads altogether.

I don't know where people find the time to rant and argue over a game or topic especially due to the fact that they are unlikely to change anyone's opinion or perception of said content.

It is something I see a lot with films and is slowly moving into the video game community. Damn trolls are breeding I tells ya!

Also get a better mic! :)

Dammit this looks good. Reminds me a lot of the Wolverine game in terms of gameplay. Most of the jokes were cringe worthy though.

Also happy to see High Moon taking on more projects.

Looks very similar... As much as I loved the WFC multiplayer, I can't help feel this is almost idenitcal.

That being said I'm glad they have expanded the customisation, one thing I felt was lacking! Still gonna buy it, just hope I'm not let down!

Shame I don't play this game much any more, but sounds like a good package.

That being said I probably won't purchase it, as it is no doubt gonna have a hefty price tag on it. (on Xbox, seeing as the other campaigns did)

@rann89 Not arguing that it hasn't been round for a long time, just that the cost of making games has increased exponentially in this time.

Sure it probably isn't a huge amount but DLC helps even this out and as long as it is of a high quality, that is all that should matter.

However, on disc DLC doesn't have a place in the gaming market and that is something else entirely.

Why are people being so bitter/ cynical about the success of what is effectively a season pass that is becoming more commonly used in big titles?

Yes, we get it, this is not like the good ol' days, but unfortuantly developing, promoting and the overall creation of games is costing more and more and is being hurt by the preowned market. As such this is a good way of the business to recoup some money whilst ensuring customers will keep, and play, their game for longer.

If you don't like the scheme then fair enough, but voicing it here on Gamespot isn't going to stop EA nor is it going to stop a fan of BF3, such as myself from buying it as I intend to purchase the map packs as and when they are relased anyway. If you aren't, don't buy it. That's going to reach EA far more than a comment on a gaming site.

Personally I'm glad it's a success and if it happens to be in the future that you can get DLC cheaper so long as you remain loyal then I'm all for it. Sure would have saved me a lot on Borderlands!

@1337hackz $10 is still a fair amount of cash which could be used on other things. I'm talking as if someone was to buy the map packs as they are ANYWAY they are saving themselves money whilst recieving a number of other incentives.

@Spartan_418 Agree with this 100%, EA has a lot of good studios under their name!

@Earthen80 All companies are doing it now. Unfortuantly its the only way to extend a games life in such a competitive market.

Also you left THQ off your list. And Ubiosoft, both of which charge payers for additional features (Saints the Third & AC:R most recently)
