SHADOW COMPLEX takes the best ideas of the classics side scroll shooters & spices them up!
I don't want to spoil anything, suffice it to say this game is one of the few in the XBOX Live Arcade that is worth shelling out for. You'll love it. You can set the difficulty level to whatever you can handle. The ga... Read Full Review

Yes, it's "Been there, done that" ... that's not necessarily a BAD thing though.
I downloaded this game at launch, and played a little at a time until I beat it. While this game doesn't bring anything new (with the exception of a few things) that Super Metroid didn't do better in 1994, it's still a d... Read Full Review

Current day (mostly) Super Metroid
I compare this game to Super Metroid maybe because i felt like i was playing it the whole time. Now, comparing a game to Super Metroid is NEVER a bad thing since that game was awesome. If i rolled up into a little ball... Read Full Review

A satisfying 2D shooter that is well worth the price.
If you own an XBOX 360, go download Shadow Complex right now. Don't worry, you can come back to this review after you're done. This has got to be one of the best Arcade downloads to date. Chair has crafted a fine side-sc... Read Full Review

Inferiority Complex
Previously in my Super Metroid review, I had made numerous petty swipes at the critically acclaimed Shadow Complex for imitating the master but missing the point. When I wrote that petty cheapshot disguised as a review f... Read Full Review

Lots of fun, but not a lot of replayability.
First of all, it costs $15. Just buy it. If it cost more, it would be a rip off, because there isn't a lot of re-playability. But for the price, the value is there. Being relatively new to buying Xbox live titles... Read Full Review

This isn't the most original game on the Xbox Live Arcade but it certainly goes about it by pretending it is.
The Xbox Live Arcade is renowned for having cheap, short indie games that are produced and played by people to tide them over until the next major gaming release. It is also known for containing innovative and creative c... Read Full Review

Not all that shadowy or complex, but this doesn't detract from the game that much.
Someone needs to fire the architect behind the Shadow Complex. There are unsecured man-sized air vents everywhere, purple security doors easily disabled by a purple foam gun and electric death rays that surely must breac... Read Full Review
