Will Xbox Series X render PC obsolete?

Seriously, with 8k capability it will take a while for pc to catch up. This is Xbox 360 with gears of war where pc struggles to get crysis to pass Xbox

PlayStation is not even a factor here because of even with stronger hardware on ps4 their games looked like 360 games. Microsoft has much better studios and hardware design so I am getting a tingling feeling thinking how much they will blow away ps5 with Xbox series x having stronger hardware

Can you believe its 2020 and its listed as recommended GPU for Doom: Eternal. Like, that shouldn't even be possible for a 2014 GPU, let alone one that is technically crippled, but here we are.

Long story short. As long as games are still being made with current-gen and even next-gen consoles in mind, the GTX 970 will suffice for 1080p gaming. There were still people saying "PC is doomed" "PS4/Xbox Series X faster than $1,000 PC" ect all the time around that launch, though. Any sensible person could see what was in it and how it would perform, but not everyone is sensible -_-

We hear this at the start of every single gen for both Playstation and XBOX. We are told they will both make PC absolute.

Then one year later PC looks and runs way way better again.

Oblivion looks better on a high-end PC than on the Xbox 360. Note the additional foliage visible in the background. We matched up resolutions for screenshot comparison purposes here, but a high-end PC with an AMD Athlon FX-60 CPU and GeForce 7900 GTX graphics card can enable all the settings and take resolutions up to 1600x1200 or more and still maintain smooth frame rates.
