No offense to your opinion but to me and many , many others, The MGS series blows. Watching cornball cutscenes is not much of a video game.

i know i mean he might thinnk this game is a phenomenon but it all depends on what every person likes. for me rachet and clank and ninja gaiden sigma 2 are better than mgs4. im having more fun with those 2 games

Might take some time to get into for non-fans, but generally, MGS4 excels at Every Possible Department! Really, the gameplay is brilliant, as is the story, graphics and soundtrack.

Can't really ask for much more.No game will ever be universally considered the best by Everyone. But MGS4 certainly has left its mark to be considered among those.

The gameplay, gaming at its finest.

MGS4 pioneers new gameplay emchanics never seen before. You can fully itneract with the environemnt and many factors affect your ability in combat as well as stealth. The many options you can do in CQC is amazing in variety.The stealth is pefect and the AI couldn't be done any better. The game is so incredibly realistic that MGS4 is the closest thing you can get into experience real-life stealth missions.

MGS4 isn't overrated, Halo 3 is, GTA4 s, GeoW is, even Uncharted 2 is overrated.

I agree. Except Metal Gear Solid 3 is slightly cooler.

on topic, MGS4 was great, but i can think of many other titles i'd put ahead of it as my favorite game ever.

for me it lines up like this, MGS2> MGS4> MGS3> MGS1

MGS4 is not the best game this gen, but one of them.

Both Deus ex and Doom are FPS and in both you shoot monsters and mutated humans. Doom did it first. The locales that you visit in Deus Ex are also similar in doom.
