I saw how the graphics jump from snes-n64 was, then ps1 to xbox, and xbox to ps3. Those were huge graphics and technological jumps, I don't see graphics getting that better (of course I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it)
Because they know nothing about those two, hence they could hype and dream about it much as they want. Wii-U on the other hand, is already out so they are able to talk about its flaws and only the flaws while ignoring the positive. Once the facts about those two consoles comes in the disillusion process will start and people will begin to bash all three consoles.

How many times have we heard in the past 2-3 years that the XBOX360/PS3 were maxed out? Or that all games will be 1080p? I think most are full of it...

Different targets/markets. Vita is clearly more powerful, but i think handheld fans are perfectly fine with 3DS graphics. I also said that third party support matters. I think you missed that part.
It's an assumption. We don't know anything regarding what Microsoft and Sony are coming up with, so people run off of rumors as if they're facts. Sort of like how it was prior to the Wii U launch - Mr. Anonymous A says this, Mr. Anonymous B says that, etc, etc.

I would be surprised if the big hitter 3rd party games being released early in the year will def see themselves ported on the Wii U by Q1 2014. Although it sucks to wait a year they will definitely show up
Because it would be hard not to be. As others have said, WiiU competes with PS3 and 360 for power. It has a bit of an edge I think, but barely. MS and Sony would have to pump out a pretty gimped console to not beat WiiU in power by a fair amount.

So far Wii U does not look to be generating that, and this is also in a time when even though Wii had a lot of dominance for quite a while, it did not become the defacto standard development platform mostly due to lagging sales for 3rd party titles. Wii U has to show that not only it can sell a lot, but that it can sell a lot of 3rd party titles.

But it didn't get any games like the Arkham games, sports games with bs tacked on controls. And graphically compared to the other two it was crap. I don't think this gen will be like the last for nintendo. As bad as the Wii was graphically, the controller made many 3rd party games unportable without it being **** bc of controls. If the Wii U had next gen specs then why are so many devs criticising it? Why do all the games look worse or equal to PS3 games? I played GUN on 360 in SD at launch and it looked significantly better than any game on PS2 even though it's one of the 360's worst looking games. The Wii U doesn't have some magical hidden next generation potential and even if it did no devs are gonna bother trying to max out dated hardware when they have PS4 and Nextbox to work with.

That's my point next gen graphics will not be a big jump. It's not going to be like looking at God of War 2 (one of the best looking PS2 games) and Oblivion on xbox. So don't expect the PS4/XBOX to wow anyone with graphics.
