Because the Wiiu is barely better than 7 year old consoles now. Heil68We really do not know that as a fact, it might take a year or two to come to that conclusion, your just speculating.
Why do you believe they won't? BadoshI saw how the graphics jump from snes-n64 was, then ps1 to xbox, and xbox to ps3. Those were huge graphics and technological jumps, I don't see graphics getting that better (of course I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it)
Because the 360, ps3 were much better than the Wii? That's a fact, but the Wii U was gimped from the gate we all new it was. And motion controls suck.[QUOTE="illmatic8582"]

Because they know nothing about those two, hence they could hype and dream about it much as they want. Wii-U on the other hand, is already out so they are able to talk about its flaws and only the flaws while ignoring the positive. Once the facts about those two consoles comes in the disillusion process will start and people will begin to bash all three consoles.topic

We can only speculate based on the software we've seen thus far, but devs seem to agree. How many times have we heard in the past 2-3 years that the XBOX360/PS3 were maxed out? Or that all games will be 1080p? I think most are full of it...
3rd party studios are spending time and resources developing new engines for consoles that are only marginally more powerful than the previous generation. Seems logical:PBecause PS4 and Xbox 3 are supposed to be significantly more powerful than PS3 and 360, which are just slightly weaker than WiiU. Let's not forget that, unlike Nintendo, Sony and MS consoles are known for their massive third party support. Seems logical

If we are going by logic, the Vita should outsell the 3DS because it is superior in every way. I know I have them both, but one is failing miserably. Let's not forget about how much money both companies lost. Do you think they will be that quick to release a console that will set them back financially?Because PS4 and Xbox 3 are supposed to be significantly more powerful than PS3 and 360, which are just slightly weaker than WiiU. Different targets/markets. Vita is clearly more powerful, but i think handheld fans are perfectly fine with 3DS graphics. I also said that third party support matters. I think you missed that part.
It's an assumption. We don't know anything regarding what Microsoft and Sony are coming up with, so people run off of rumors as if they're facts. Sort of like how it was prior to the Wii U launch - Mr. Anonymous A says this, Mr. Anonymous B says that, etc, etc.

I would be surprised if the big hitter 3rd party games being released early in the year will def see themselves ported on the Wii U by Q1 2014. Although it sucks to wait a year they will definitely show upBecause it would be hard not to be. As others have said, WiiU competes with PS3 and 360 for power. It has a bit of an edge I think, but barely. MS and Sony would have to pump out a pretty gimped console to not beat WiiU in power by a fair amount.DerekLoffinAgreed, but the PS2 was much weaker than the Gamecube and Xbox, yet bc of user install base games were made for the PS2 and ported to the others. Although the new XBOX and PS4 will be more powerful than the Wii U, will it be powerful to the point that games cannot be ported amongst the three systems? I doubt it...
Cause the WiiU can't compete with 32GB of Ram and Quad GPU's.fernandmondego_I'm not a developer, nor are most people on this website, stop throwing numbers and jargon at me lol

Perhaps, but the main reason PS2 got a lot of primary development was its overwhelming dominance of the market. So far Wii U does not look to be generating that, and this is also in a time when even though Wii had a lot of dominance for quite a while, it did not become the defacto standard development platform mostly due to lagging sales for 3rd party titles. Wii U has to show that not only it can sell a lot, but that it can sell a lot of 3rd party titles.

Well, the original Wii was years behind the Xbox 360 and PS3 in tech.tryhard_d0uch3But it didn't get any games like the Arkham games, sports games with bs tacked on controls. And graphically compared to the other two it was crap. I don't think this gen will be like the last for nintendo. As bad as the Wii was graphically, the controller made many 3rd party games unportable without it being **** bc of controls. That won't happen this gen

If the Wii U had next gen specs then why are so many devs criticising it? Why do all the games look worse or equal to PS3 games? I played GUN on 360 in SD at launch and it looked significantly better than any game on PS2 even though it's one of the 360's worst looking games. The Wii U doesn't have some magical hidden next generation potential and even if it did no devs are gonna bother trying to max out dated hardware when they have PS4 and Nextbox to work with.[QUOTE="illmatic8582"][QUOTE="ultimate-k"]and we know this how? That's my point next gen graphics will not be a big jump. It's not going to be like looking at God of War 2 (one of the best looking PS2 games) and Oblivion on xbox. So don't expect the PS4/XBOX to wow anyone with graphics.Pretty much this
