So, snipers are op?
Not at all, nothing is OP.
Read my reply to crownkingarthur. You die fast but there is a layered combat system to be found.
Anyone play Insurgency? It looks kinda cool.
Just got around to playing it and I think it is great. It is difficult, but once you get the hang of it it becomes addictive!
Just bought Nether for 2.99, not bad for the price.
I read the community is terrible to new players and is essentially pay-to-win.
I was tempted and the concept is amazing, but the execution seems horrible. They didn't put anything in to protect noobs from high-level assholes. Even if the game is supposed to be a "roguelike" there should be protection in a multiplayer setting. It'll kill the community very quickly (and the reviews for the game really suggest this is the case).

The thing is how many MP games are noob friendly, answer is pretty much none of them. I seriously doubt the community is worse than the Dota 2, LoL and DayZ communities. I've only played about 34 minutes of Nether so I can't really complain or praise it except I do hate the questing in it.
I've gotten, Battleblock Theater, Dead Island, Mortal Kombat 9, Pay Day 1&2, Risk of Rain, and Terraria. I don't see anything too appealing atm.
Ugh right when I say I'm not gonna buy anymore games during the steam summer sale, they make Splinter Cell Blacklist $7...

I wouldn't buy that game if it were 1 cent lol

You're crazy. Its the best playing Splinter Cell game yet.
Metro LL,yay!
Anyone played Blackguards?Looks nice
I'm also curious about Blackguards. Reading some Steam reviews can be misleading, since people give games a negative review but you read the review to find out a game isn't what they specifically wanted (such as one review that was excited that the game was an RPG then gave a negative review because it was turn based).
Among the games won in the summer adventure thus far I found this
http://store.steampowered.com/app/247306/
look at the price :/
sweet man. now you can give one point five american dollars to your hedge fund manager.

So it wasn't valve's doing afterall
yes i saw that. it came from some tiny little website nobody has ever heard of called 'reddit'.
good to see humans cooperating.

I never once thought it was Valve. I've seen one too many Steam Sales that do stuff like this to know what's really going on.
Anyone remember Coal?
@Ballroompirate: got nether myself.
By any chance do you know how to change the resolution in the game.
I have to use my small monitor to play it instead of my TV.
Because it goes black when I launch on my TV because my TV max resolution is only 1280 X 768
I know there is a way once you make a character in the top part of the screen there's the setting option, don't know if there is one in game though which imagine there is one.

It's a very challenging hex grid turn based rpg with a lot of environmental combat interaction. It's great at long as you accept that you'll probably be remaking your character at least once, since unoptimized characters become a liability later in the game.
Anyone got an opinion on Brothers? It looked very attractive in the into video.

This one also caught my eye. I checked out GS's review (7) and it sounds a bit rough, but enjoyable if you're willing to put in the time/focus to level properly. Tempted to pick it up, but going to browse the next Flash sales first to see if another RPG grabs my attention.

I sorted it in the end Resolution Change in Nether.
I think you can change it in game, bu I get no options in game as it stays in Ghost mode. Only was I can quit is by pressing Alt-Tab and closing the game from task manager
@Postosuchus: Brothers is very good at this price. It's short, but for that price you can't go wrong. I haven't finished it yet, but it's really cool so far.
Here's what I've gotten so far..
The Witcher 2 Enhanced, Metro Last Light Complete, Defy Gravity Extended, The Amnesia Collection (1 & 2), Terraria, Monaco, Nether, Hotline Miami, Skydrift + DLC, Myst V, a few copies of Skyrim to trade with people, and I'm thinking about getting the Alien Breed Trilogy (1,2,3), FTL Advanced, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and I may finally get Outlast and Borderlands 2 if they go on sale again, too...

I've had my eye on it. It got a very high metacritic score..

Great game that can be finished it one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Must be played with a controller.

I for one have no Idea what's the deal with these "teams" (i'm green lol), and I have no idea how it works, so it means little to me :-P

Yeah controller is necessary.

What's so wrong with Dota 2 community, exactly. I had a 1000 hours so far in the game, I have mostly good things coming from that community. Outside of nonlanguage speaking individuals and the occasioanl asshole, I generally get good output from the community.

If you have 1000 hours logged into Dota 2 you should know how bad the moba community is towards noobs and beginners.

Except its not, they are very much so helpful. I honestly don't know what you are talking about.

Then you haven't seen the douchebag side of the moba community.
Another shit day.
Another shit sale. GOG has been destroying Steam this year. Shit, they're giving out free games.
I just got Rise of the Triad 2013 for $3.49 on GOG. They've been having crazy flash sales every hour.. FTL Advanced Edition is only $2.99 at the moment...
