Question I bought Conquest digital, and then birthright digital, but I don't see the option to play the birthright path first. What do?

You make the choice after Chapter 6

When you reach Chapter 6, the game will offer you a choice, you can choose which version to play then. Hoshido (Birthright) or Nohr (Conquest).

Up to chapter 17 in birthright and so far this game isn't nearly as good as awakening. Crappier story, crappier characters. It's still a solid game but it's a step back imo

That's a pretty accurate summarization of how I feel about the game too. The story and the characters are my main gripe with Birthright, not to mention the writing, which is typical JRPG shit. That, and after a certain point, I got tired of the game constantly telling me to "Route the Enemy".

Conquest is a much, much better game. It's what a sequel to Awakening should logically be. Seriously, the gap in quality between Birthright and Conquest is very, very significant. Better story, much better characters, writing is tolerable for the most part, map design is immaculate and mission objectives are hugely varied, especially compared to BR.

Yep, Awakening was straight up time travel. Fates goes to some great lengths to creates some weird rulesets in its universe to justify this shit. And the interactions between the parents and their children are even more cringe-inducing lol

Compared with Lucina from Awakening, especially, she just falls flat. Lucina was a frigging goddess :3

Finished Conquest. Took me about 30 hours. Significantly better than Birthright.

It's good that I'm gonna have to wait a couple weeks before I can play Revelation, because I'm running the risk of getting burnt out on Fire Emblem right now.

Well I'd imagine most if not all the games in the series are better than Awakening AND Fates. The only thing Awakening did right was the flexibility of the classes it brought.

I don't quite agree Chie is the worst girl from Persona 4. She's still better than Naoto from a gameplay perspective, and from a story perspective she's better than Marie (who was grossly shoehorned into Golden). Also, credit where it's due: Chie is one of the best characters in Persona Q, especially working with Kanji and Junpei on the front line.

In other news, who's going to be playing overpriced Gen 1 rehashes of Pokemon this weekend? *raises hand* Going to pretend it's 1999 all over again.

Unless you're also a deft hand at giving color to monochrome images, in which case I would take you up on something as simple as coloring the two girls in my sig. My current avatar was a black & white image I had a different friend fill in a couple years back.

Survival mode sucks the big one in Street Fighter V. I reached the end of Laura's normal route twice, and I get beaten to shit by broken AI. Seriously, there is no progression to the encounters. It's piss easy for 25 rounds, and then it gets unexpectedly difficult at the final five. The fact that you NEED to do this to get extra fight money and colors is absurd.

Year 2 of Grim Fandango down, so fucking good.

The spike in normal doesn't bother me too much, but the spike in hard pisses me off. I haven't even made it far enough in hell mode, but I'm sure it's brutally annoying.

Man, shitty night on the game here lol. At least 6 different peeps moved up to silver at my expense.

I fucking hate rage quitters. Some part of me feels a sense of satisfaction, knowing that I made some dork yank his connection or shut off his console at the last second.

But really, why? What is the point of stat boosting in Street Fighter? Better stats just means tougher opponents to face and if you can't take the loss in the first place???

For all the complaints going around about this game, this is definitely the one thing that bugs me the most. Punish these fuckers.
