*RUMOUR* PS4 LAUNCH TITLE DRIVECLUB DELAYED UNTIL 2014

Although we at TSC don’t usually do news pieces, after yesterdays announcement about Watch Dog’s & The Crew slipping into 2014, this rumour was too much not to post.

*Treat this as 100% rumour for now, hopefully it will turn out to be false*

We’ve had word from an anonymous source that Sony’s upcoming PS4 launch title Driveclub is delayed until spring 2014. While no reason for the delay was given it has been reported previously that the game had looked a little unfinished when shown at various events this year.

With a little under a month before the PS4′s US release this isn’t the best of news, especially in the light of Ubisoft’s news that the highly anticipated launch title watch Dog’s won’t be hitting until sometime next year. It’s also a hit to the platforms hugely popular PS+ service as an albeit stripped down version of Driveclub was due to be available for PS+ subscribers free at launch.

It could also be another blow to retailers who are already having to scramble to adjust preorder bundles of the PS4 in light of yesterdays news.

As stated this is just a rumour at present,expect this piece to self destruct if it turns out to be rubbish but we’ll be sure to update as we learn more. I have reached out to both Evolution Studios and Sony

for comment but as yet neither has chosen to reply

I agree, but Xbox One has no games at launch either. The diminishing reasons for getting a console at launch are dwindling day by day.

I really doubt this is true. The brand new adverts for the PS4 suggest otherwise.

Anyways, I am probably dodging out of consoles for the first year.

The commercial also advertises Deep Down, which is not a launch title.

It also says in fine print *PS4 console releases 11/15/2013, actual game release dates vary*.

Not to mention Microsoft advertises TitanFall and that is confirmed for 2014 .

Lol so all the crap the SDF talks about the XOne and now we're slowly getting rumors of this thing and titles being delayed.

By the way nobody knows the real reason why watchdogs and the crew were delayed but my gut tells me it has something to do with the ps4. Obviously something is going on and it's not good.

Perhaps cows should ease up with the XOne criticisms for their own sake for fear of looking stupid in the end with the ps4 being the shoddy console not the XOne.

Obviously this isn't true in any way, shape, or form because the only rumors that are true from unsubstantiated anonymous sources are negative Xbox One rumors.

It's crazy how dim the launches are looking software wise. They started off so strong and now...yea, not so much.

I say buhbye. The only game in that list that remotely interests me is Crimson Dragon, but certainly not enough to spend $500 for it. Call me when Microsoft drops Kinect 2.0 and has some better exclusives lined up.

We are not believing, just hoping.

So basically you're hoping games get delayed because, fanboy. I'd never hope for a game to get delayed out of spite because a healthy industry benefits everyone... If you really feel this way, you're not enjoying video games for the right reasons.

I can't help but laugh a little. All the arrogance from their side and all I can think is "Yea...you had this coming"...though I'm sure it's all resolved at or soon after launch. Hence why I'm waiting on PS4 and Xbox One till mid 2014.

Friendly reminder that PS2 launched with Fantavision and Ridge Racer and still buried the XBox deeper than the Marianas Trench.

I enjoy videogames for the right reasons in my mind. More over, cows (most) have ruined a lot with the announcement of this next gen. It is on those cows, that I piss.

N64 launched with Pilotwings, Crusin' USA and Mario 64, then went on a massive drought. A good launch window > launch day and anyone with a brain knows this.

While there is no official confirmation, I have for the last two months dared anyone anywhere to find me footage of this game running in real time with more than two cars onscreen. No one ever did. Not one time. So its starting to smell like truth, but we will see.

If this is true it will be just like the PS3 launch. Remember Sony Fan, 'The system could launch without games and people would buy it'.

Only Sony Fan can bury themselves so deep that they have to go into hiding when actual real news about the piss poor development of games comes out.

Yet to see BloomZone played on an actual console.

Who didn't hear that launch title announcement and immediately think, "Driiiiiiiiiiiiive Cluuuuuuuuuuuuuub!!"

at the end of the day the PS4 will sell more, it'll have more support, it'll have more exclusives... It's an inevitable outcome. Even Xbox fangirls say the Dualshock 4 is the better controller. And then this... Lems always on blast.
