Truth. They did an insanely good job with that one.If it's as well done as the first Resident Evil remake then sure.

Resident Evil 2 is a MUCH better game compared with RE6, so yeah, I'd go for it!
GamerwillzPS
Could you please elaborate on what makes RE2 superior? Just curious. Assuming you've spent extensive time with both games.
Capcoms done with horror games and RE2 was the best RE game so a remake is the best we'll get.No one's clamoring for a RE2 remake, just a proper survival horror game.
Truth. They did an insanely good job with that one.Yep though they had Mikami when they did that and they weren't going for the CoD crowd...so idk if I trust Capcom now.If it's as well done as the first Resident Evil remake then sure.
I haven't stated my thoughts on the new RE6 demo yet so if anyone is curious...Leon demo was fun except the car part and I couldn't bring myself to play through Chris demo. idk about Jake.
That's a big IF. We're talking Capcom here.
*Looks at RE4 not-so-HD*
*Looks at Code Veronic not-so-HD*
*Looks at JoJo not-so-HD*
I'm good. Capcom should leave it alone. The dude who did RE Remake for the Gamecube is no longer at Capcom I believe. It would probably play like RE6 garbage with co-op between Leon and Ada followed by Claire with young Sherry. Not to mention Senario B's as on disc DLC.
Nonameless12345
So you rather have crappy action games without the survival horror like Resi 6?
Okay...
what makes you think they are going to re-do their current engine to satisfy a couple of fans that still live in the past?...the game is going to look just like RE4 did with better graphics.
The amount of action and explosions in RE6 is just too much. RE2 on the other hand focused on survival horror which is much more suited to the series.
Thanks casuals and bro gamers for ruining the franchise.

Those aren't remakes...Those were near straight up ports. If Capcom just did a big graphical like the first Resident evil to REmake then I wouldn't mind. But I doubt that would be the only thing to change...
I want a RE2 remake. I don't want it done by the current Capcpom.
Slashkice
Yeah, they would probably just ruin it by adding some Call of Duty garbage.

having countless amount of ammo in RE 2 isn't exactly too ''survival horror''Shinji Mikami worked on the first Remake and he isn't there anymore. I wouldn't want my 3rd best RE game ruined.

The point was not them being remakes, but about Capcom's recent track record.
The 3 mentioned aren't in HD either, but they're suppose to be and they're priced like they are.

having countless amount of ammo in RE 2 isn't exactly too ''survival horror''Don't forget the Grenade Launcher, Sub Machine Gun, OP Magnum, Rocket Launcher, Spark Gun etc lol.
Jump scares and guns is a more suitable name to the genre to the Resident Evils of the Playstation era.

indeed and i am a big resident evil fan..After what they did with Mega Man i wouldn't hold my breath. Although I hope they do remake RE2, my favorite RE game out of the series.

Capcom track record is usually hit or miss recently. I mean those ports are still perfectly playable and fun and they came out with Dragon Dogma this year so...they're usually good with some things and bad with others.I'd more so focus on how RE6 is turning out (moreso how Chris campaign is turning out for me.) and use that as to how a remake of RE2 might turn out.

indeed and i am a big resident evil fan..Damn, I can't imagine how bad you are feeling about how RE have changed nowadays. It probably would give the gaming industry some good if Crapcom just collapse and die. We just can't support devs like them.
Resident Evil is a joke now.Stringerboy
Nah it's still good, just not in the same league as pre-RE5.
Really? From what I am hearing, 6 will get a 4.5 on this site. This is a game from a series that literally invented two whole genres.indeed and i am a big resident evil fan..

That's a shame. I still like what Capcom has to offer from time to time. Looking forward to DMC actually. I too am a big Resident Evil fan but how a franchise has changed and evolved over the years has little impact on my emotional state. I see nothing to "feel bad" over. Resident Evil is still enjoyable for me, whether I'm playing Re5 or Re: Code Veronica.

RE 2 even with RE 4 camera + aiming would be amazing!! no co-op tho and limited ammo like old games!

eh the only problem I had with it was that it wasn't hard enough later on and the NG+ sucks. A lot of other things were good and I didn't mind walking around everywhere. Though the pawns need to shut up more...indeed and i am a big resident evil fan..

i am open minded and i don't mind at all the changes some are good some are bad..as long the story is intact i don't complain and again resident evil wasn't at all a ''survival horror'' game..the only ones that came close to that are Resident Evil Remake and Ø.
Resident Evil is a joke now.Stringerboy

meh...I'd say it's okay with re5 being pretty fun and re6 just being okay from what I can tell. The railshooters weren't bad either. System Wars just exaggerate too much.
-Clipping really takes you out of the experience
-Combat (particularly melee) isn't very technical
-Excessive backtracking in a rather expansive yet empty world
-Day/night cycle (this from what I've heard)
It's definitely one of their better offerings as of late, but the bar's set pretty low.
