Alan Wake was great and this looks like a day 1 purchase for me, the only thing that sucks is the long wait but as long as they pump out a quality product I'm OK with that.
This isn't a gameplay trailer. This is a guy standing around talking for 90% of the video, then a bunch of cutscenes with only 4 fucking seconds of gameplay. I'm fucking tired of "gameplay" trailers that don't actually focus on fucking showing any gameplay.
by the time this game is release next year it will be irrelevant and the graphics will be outdated. better to release it this year so we can talk about its graphics
I think one thing All Developers and Gamers (fanboys don't count) really want is for their games to be available everywhere so people who want to play them can. Video Games is the only industry that suffers from the affliction know as Exclusivity.....
I mean The Wii U, The PS4 and The Xbox One are all computers. Could you imagine not being able to watch game of thrones because you bought a Samsung TV instead of a Sony one ? I sure as hell can't. Thats what Quantum Break is.
Exclusivity is bad for everyone, Console Manufactures be damned !
if you want to watch game of thrones, you need to have HBO. exclusivity exists on tvs too. Networks all compete for ratings and whatnot.
Thats not a hardware issue..... HBO doesn't make TVs.

Game of Throwns is HBO as Quantum Break is to Remedy.......
The Difference is HBO doesn't limit themselves by only being available on a specific brand of Hardware(TV) thats functionally identical to a different brand of the Same type of Hardware (TV)
Thats where gaming becomes different, because Sony Microsoft and Nintendo are just Brands of the same type of Hardware (Computers) its in a developers best interest to publish on as many platforms as possible, yet Quantum Break arbitrarily limits its self to The Xbox and maybe even the PC.
I really hate the communities attitude towards alot of things like this...... They just accept it, never questioning it. Like its normal. And thats just wrong.
LOL, I have played PS4's best two graphical games. I also have one of the best HD TV's on the market. QB poops on anything the PS4 has to date. In fact Ryse is still considered the best looking next gen game. Nearly every single review site agrees. But that's not a big deal. Is ISS great visually? Yes. But it is also the most boring and dead game ever assembled. It is a flat out waste of money. The first infamous was incredible. Graphics were average. But the gameplay was awesome. Infamous two was good and looked good but had average gameplay. ISS is boring and the city is dead. Your lucky if you find 3 cars on the street at once. Pedestrians look like robots walking around. Just no life in that game.
Same with KillzoneSF. Has to be the most boring shooter I've ever played.
As for the order.......no one cares about cloth physics. If you have to add grain and blur to a game for clothing physics then you don't need to have them. Last time I saw that much fog and blur in a game I was playing resistance.
Now, I understand PS4 fanboys seem to think they have a god box. But the truth is, they are equal in power. And as it stands, QB if it stays as is will be the best looking next gen game. And Remedy isn't known for downgrading graphics. So I like our chances.

Just the fact you got to say alpha ,tells me you think it looks turd. And remember how alan wake looked before, only to be massively downgraded?
I'm not trying to be rude but escapism is the exact reason why play video games. Realism is not a selective thing that one can pick and choose elements from, theres nothing realistic about reloading to the last checkpoint every time you die. See how warped your logic is ?
I think games at the very most should induce "Flow" not immersion.
Video Games were never about immersion and even if they were how are developers suppose to design games around such an extremely subjective concept, video game reviews would be even more ridiculous than they are now. What might be immersive for you might break the immersion for others and vice versa, any developer that tries to go that route is in for a rude awakening.
Regardless of how much you get immersed into a game, thats just not what they are about.
Fun is also another Subjective term.... People enjoy different things in different way, it might actually be easier to be immersed in a complete fantasy than a simulation of Reality. Some people can't help but make comparison between a realistic game and real life and thos minor differences really break the immersion for them.... Going completely unreal and bizarre is better for them since they have no referrence for reality......
